Transcribe long WhatsApp voice notes and read them instead of replaying them.
Long WhatsApp voice notes transcribe here once you save them out of the chat as audio files: each note uploads on its own, a 30-minute note takes about a minute, and a single file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB. The first 20 minutes are free, which can cover a few shorter notes in full, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes takes care of the rest.
Voice notes, as text
Twenty-minute voice notes deserve better than a second listen.
Saving notes out of the chat
WhatsApp keeps voice notes as Opus audio, usually with an .opus or .ogg ending. Share a single note to your files, or use Export chat with media to get every note in a thread at once. The saved file uploads here as it is, with no conversion step.
Many notes, one link
When a thread holds dozens of notes, drop them into a Google Drive folder, share it, and paste the folder link. Each note becomes its own transcript in your Library, so a thread of thirty notes is one paste instead of thirty separate uploads.
Long notes, short waits
A voice note is small compared with a video, so even a long one uploads quickly on a phone connection. Processing runs at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, which puts a 30-minute note at about a minute and a 10-minute note at well under that.
Answers without replaying
A long note often buries one address, one date or one request in the middle. The transcript is searchable, the names, numbers and dates that were said are pulled out, and the chat answers a direct question about what the note asked you to do.

FAQ
WhatsApp voice notes, answered.
Can I transcribe a whole chat's worth of voice notes at once?
Yes, through Google Drive. Put the saved notes in a Drive folder, share the folder, and paste its link: each note is transcribed as its own file. You can also upload notes one after another from your phone.
How long does a long voice note take?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 30-minute note is ready in about a minute. A batch of notes finishes one by one, and each appears in your Library when done.
What do two hours of voice notes cost?
Two hours is 120 minutes across however many notes it takes. After the first 20 minutes free, the rest comes out of a $6 pack of 500 minutes, which holds a little over eight hours of notes in total.
Do I need to join short notes into one file?
No. Each note can go up as its own file, and joining them only matters if you want one transcript on one clock. Any single file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and uploads before the first pack go up to 2 GB.
The notes switch between English and another language. Is that a problem?
No setting is needed: 99 languages are detected automatically, note by note. A note that switches language is detected on its main language, and English and Tagalog mixed in one note is handled. Regional Philippine languages such as Cebuano come back as a fast first draft, so plan one review pass.
What can I export, and who sees my notes?
Each note exports as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and a note can be deleted with its transcript whenever you like.
