Transcribe a Malay podcast from the feed to the page.
A Malay podcast episode from Singapore usually runs one to two hours, and a 100-minute episode comes back as text in a little over 3 minutes at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. The first 20 minutes are free, and five 100-minute episodes use exactly the 500 minutes of the $6 pack.
What a Malay show needs
Episodes people can find in search, quote and caption.
Paste the feed
A podcast or RSS link, a YouTube video or a Google Drive share link is fetched directly, so nothing uploads from your laptop. A file straight off the recorder goes in through upload page.
Bahasa rojak is handled
Hosts in Singapore often slide between Malay and English in one sentence. The episode is detected on its main language and the switches are handled, so a mixed conversation stays in one transcript.
Episodes counted
Five 100-minute episodes are 500 minutes, the whole $6 pack. A season of twelve is 1,200 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, and a back catalogue of forty is 4,000 minutes on the $24 pack of 5,000.
Quotes ready to post
Each episode returns with key quotes, chapters with timestamps and a brief of the conversation. Intro music and stings are not transcribed, so the text starts with the first word spoken.
Why Malay episodes go unfound
Audio alone gives search engines almost nothing to read.
✗ Audio and a short blurb
Episodes are published with a two-line description, and the best moments are only in the audio. Malay shows also compete for attention with English content that already carries captions and show notes. Typing a 100-minute conversation by hand takes most of a working day.
- Descriptions written hours after recording
- No captions for the video cut
- Tools that guess the language wrong
- Downloading each episode by hand
- Upload caps under an hour
- Monthly fees for a show that airs every fortnight
✓ Episodes as text
The conversation in Malay, with chapters, quotes and the names worth linking. The episode page carries the full conversation, which helps listeners find it by topic and helps AI assistants describe it accurately. Captions for the video cut come from the same transcript, timed to the audio.
- About 3 minutes per 100-minute episode
- Feed pasted, no download
- Each voice named in the summary and chapters
- Key quotes for social posts
- Timestamped chapters for the episode listing
- Captions in SRT and VTT for the YouTube cut

FAQ
Malay podcast transcription, answered.
How long until a 100-minute episode is text?
A little over 3 minutes, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 2-hour episode takes around 4.
What will my episodes cost?
Five 100-minute episodes use the full 500 minutes of the $6 pack. Twelve of them, 1,200 minutes, go on the $12 pack of 2,000. The first 20 minutes on a first visit are free, and a pack transcribes the rest of a longer episode from where the preview left off. For 100 minutes, the figure most paying uploads sit near, one episode on the $6 pack leaves 400 minutes for the next four.
Can WhipScribe take the RSS feed instead of a file?
Yes. RSS and podcast links, YouTube, Vimeo and Google Drive share links are all fetched for you. Episodes on Instagram or TikTok need to be downloaded first and then uploaded.
Is there a size limit on a raw recording?
Episodes may run up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Without a pack, the upload limit is 2 GB; larger files start as soon as a pack is added. Should the upload refuse a file, convert it to MP3 and try again.
Do guests who speak English get transcribed?
Yes. Malay and English are both among 99 languages detected automatically. An episode is detected on the language spoken most, and switches between the two are handled.
What formats come back, and is the audio private?
Pick TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Your show's audio is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training.
