Transcribe a Mandarin community meeting and give members a record they can read in Chinese.
A 2-hour Mandarin community meeting recorded in New Zealand is transcribed in about 4 minutes, with Mandarin detected automatically and English place names and terms kept in the text. The first 20 minutes are free, and four such meetings, 480 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
For association secretaries
Members want to know what happened at the meeting. Most of them were not there.
A Chinese summary to share
The brief gives the meeting's main points and takeaways in the language it was held in, ready to paste into the members' group chat the same evening.
Votes and deadlines, listed
Motions, the dates of the Lunar New Year event, the number of volunteers needed and the amounts read out are collected with timestamps, so the minutes can quote them exactly.
Hybrid meetings
A meeting held in a hall with members joining on Zoom saves an audio-only M4A that uploads in moments. Nothing joins the call itself; you upload the recording afterwards, and a filmed meeting over 500 MB continues on the upload page.
A year's meetings, priced
Six 2-hour meetings, 720 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000, which still covers another ten meetings of the same length.
Why decisions get lost
Two hours of discussion become three lines in the group chat.
✗ Without a transcript
The secretary types a hurried summary, members who missed the meeting ask the same questions, and the recording is never opened.
- Long debates summarised in a sentence
- Mandarin meetings, English-only tools
- No exact wording for a motion
- Members asking what was decided
- Minutes delayed for weeks
- Nothing for the next committee to search
✓ With a transcript
The meeting is Mandarin text with chapters within minutes of uploading.
- Text in about 4 minutes after a 2-hour meeting
- Mandarin detected, English terms kept
- Chair and speakers named in the summary
- Motions and dates listed
- A chat to ask about the parking issue
- DOCX for the minutes
Sample output
An association meeting, from last minutes to the vote.
These lines are illustrative and invented; no real association or person is quoted. English gloss: good evening, we first adopt the minutes of the last meeting; the Lunar New Year venue is booked, we still need twenty volunteers; on parking, the council has not replied yet; those in favour raise your hands, carried.

FAQ
Mandarin community meetings, answered.
How long does it take?
A 2-hour meeting is ready in about 4 minutes, a 90-minute one in about 3; every hour of audio takes roughly 2 minutes. Upload as soon as the meeting closes and the secretary can share the summary while members are still in the car park.
Which pack should our association buy?
Four 2-hour meetings, 480 minutes, need the $6 pack of 500. Six to sixteen meetings of that length sit on the $12 pack of 2,000. An association transcribing several years of meetings at once can use the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. Packs are one-time USD purchases and credits never expire.
Members use English words for council, rates and consents. Is that handled?
Yes. The meeting is detected on its main language, Mandarin, and the English terms inside it stay in the same transcript, as in the sample above.
Can we transcribe a meeting held in Cantonese and Mandarin?
The recording is detected on its main language and transcribed in it. If a meeting is mostly Mandarin with a few Cantonese contributions, check those passages against the audio. A meeting held mostly in Cantonese is detected as Cantonese, so the language never has to be chosen by hand before the upload.
Is there a size limit?
The ceiling per file is 10 hours or 5 GB. Before the first pack, uploads can be up to 2 GB; a 2-hour Zoom M4A is a small fraction of that. A full-day forum recorded on a camera can be larger; the box here takes 500 MB, and bigger files carry on through the main upload page.
Is it private?
Association recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Downloads come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, so the secretary can edit the minutes in Word and keep a plain-text copy in the shared folder.
