Transcribe parliamentary and council sittings in Swedish, the whole sitting at once.
A full sitting of the Riksdag chamber, a kommunfullmäktige meeting or a committee hearing becomes searchable Swedish text at about 2 minutes per recorded hour, so a 6-hour sitting is back in roughly 12 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest of a sitting that long. Paste the stream link if the sitting is on YouTube or Vimeo, or drop the file.
What a long sitting turns into
Hours of debate, reduced to the motions, the votes and the people who spoke.
Paste the stream, skip the download
Many chambers and councils publish their sittings as a video stream. If the recording is on YouTube, including a live replay, or on Vimeo, paste the link and nothing has to be uploaded. If it only plays inside a site we cannot read, save the file and drop it on the upload page.
Agenda items become chapters
A municipal council sitting moves through numbered items: reports, motions, interpellations and questions. The chapters follow each change of subject with a timestamp, so the budget debate in hour three is one click away instead of a long scrub through the video.
The speakers, by name
When the chair calls the next speaker or a member gives their name, that name carries into the summary, the key quotes and the chapters. You can see which councillor raised an amendment and jump to the second it was proposed.
What a sitting costs
A 6-hour sitting is 360 minutes of audio. After the free 20, the remaining time fits on a $6 pack of 500 minutes, with enough left for a committee meeting later that week. Credits never expire, so a pack bought in spring still works for the autumn budget debate.
Why sittings are hard to transcribe
A sitting runs longer than most tools were built for.
✗ The usual workarounds
Long public meetings tend to be skipped, summarised from memory or cut into pieces by hand before anything can read them.
- Upload limits that stop at an hour or two
- Cutting a 6-hour video into segments
- Captions that mangle Swedish place names
- Minutes written days later from notes
- No way to search what a member said
- Retyping quotes for a news story or report
✓ The sitting as one document
The recording goes in whole and comes back with a single timeline from the opening of the meeting to the adjournment.
- The full sitting in a single upload
- Roughly 12 minutes for six hours
- Swedish recognised with nothing to set
- Motions, amounts and dates pulled out
- Chapters by agenda item
- Search and chat across the whole sitting

FAQ
Sittings and sessions, the questions people ask.
How long does a 6-hour sitting take to transcribe?
About 12 minutes. Processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, and our public proof page shows a 9.31-hour file finishing in 1,033 seconds. You can close the tab while it runs, and the transcript waits in your Library.
What does a full season of sittings cost?
New visitors get the first 20 minutes free on their first recording. One sitting of up to about 8 hours fits on a $6 pack of 500 minutes. A clerk or reporter following two long sittings a month would choose the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, a little over 33 hours of debate, and the credits never expire between sessions.
The stream is longer than 10 hours. What then?
One file holds up to 10 hours or 5 GB. A sitting that ran past that is split into two files, for example at a recess, and each comes back with its own timestamps. A stream replay over 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account.
Do I need to tell it the language?
No. Swedish is one of 99 languages detected automatically, and each recording is transcribed on its main language. Names of members, places and bodies are worth checking against the speaker list before you quote them.
Can the transcript stand in for the official record?
It is an AI transcript with timestamps to work from: finding a quote, drafting a summary, checking how a vote was announced. Where a chamber or council keeps its own minutes, those remain the record, and the transcript helps you write and check against them.
What can I download, and who can see a sitting I upload?
TXT and DOCX for reading and editing, SRT and VTT for subtitling the sitting video, JSON for anyone building a searchable archive of debates. As for access, recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
