Transcribe parliamentary and committee sessions in the UK from the link to the text.
A UK parliamentary sitting or select committee session comes back at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 3-hour evidence session takes roughly 6 minutes and an 8-hour sitting about 16. Paste a YouTube link or upload the file; the first 20 minutes are free and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers a full sitting day.
Sittings and committees, made searchable
Hours of debate and evidence, with every exchange on a timestamp.
Paste the link
Where a sitting or committee is published on YouTube, including a live replay, paste the link and the audio is fetched for you. Video from another player can be downloaded and uploaded as a file of up to 10 hours or 5 GB.
A working copy beside the record
For debates in the chamber, Hansard is the official report. A transcript here is a working copy you make yourself, the same day, with timestamps that take you to the moment in the video for a clip or a quote.
A sitting day in minutes
An 8-hour sitting is 480 minutes and fits the $6 pack of 500 with little to spare. A week of committee sessions at 3 hours a day is 900 minutes, which belongs on the $12 pack of 2,000. These prices are in US dollars.
Who asked, who answered
Members, ministers and committee witnesses are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. Ask the chat what a witness said about funding and it answers from the transcript.
Why long sittings are hard to follow up
You often need the words on the day they were spoken.
✗ Watching the stream back
Researchers, journalists and campaigners scrub through long video to find a minute of exchange.
- Scrubbing a sitting for one answer
- Captions that stay inside the player
- Committee evidence with no summary
- Free tiers that end long before the sitting
- Quotes without a time to verify
- No list of figures and dates mentioned

FAQ
Parliamentary recordings, answered.
How long does an 8-hour sitting take to transcribe?
About 16 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A 3-hour committee session is ready in about 6 minutes.
What does it cost to follow a week of sessions?
A 3-hour committee session uses 180 minutes. Five of them is 900 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, and an 8-hour sitting day on its own uses 480 minutes of the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Credits never expire, and your first 20 minutes are free.
What if the sitting runs longer than 10 hours?
One file holds up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a very long sitting goes in as two files. A YouTube live replay over 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account, and before the first pack an upload can be up to 2 GB.
Do the devolved legislatures work too?
Yes. Recordings from the Scottish Parliament, the Senedd and the Northern Ireland Assembly are handled the same way. 99 languages are detected automatically, Welsh among them; a session that switches language is transcribed on its main language.
Can I clip quotes from it?
Each passage has a timestamp, so you can find the moment in the video and cut it in your own editor. SRT and VTT exports give captions that line up with the original recording.
Which exports are there, and is anything kept for training?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON are all available. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
