Transcribe a recording made in a church sermon, readings and notices.
A church service of 90 minutes to two hours comes back as text in about 3 to 4 minutes, with the sermon, prayers, readings and notices kept and the hymns left out. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest of the service with room for three more Sundays.
What the sanctuary does to sound
A stone room adds echo. The words still come through.
Echo, organ and a long room
A church is built to carry a voice to the back pew, so the recording picks up reflections, a lag from the PA and the shuffle of a full congregation. A feed taken from the sound desk is cleaner than a phone in a pew, but both transcribe: the speech model follows the preacher through the reverb.
Hymns are not transcribed
Congregational singing, the organ prelude and the worship band are music, and music is not turned into text. What comes back is the speech: the welcome, the readings, the prayers spoken aloud, the sermon and the notices at the end.
Find the sermon without cutting
Chapters with timestamps mark where the readings end and the sermon begins, so there is no need to trim the file first. The preacher and readers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters when the service introduces them.
Sunday by Sunday on one pack
Two hours is 120 minutes of a 500-minute pack, which leaves 380 minutes for the following weeks. A month of four two-hour services uses 480 minutes, under the $6 pack, and the credits stay on the account with no date on them.
Where church recordings stall
Most tools were not built for a two-hour service in a reverberant room.
✗ Transcribing it some other way
A volunteer types the sermon on Monday, or a caption panel spits out run-on text with the hymn lyrics garbled in.
- A volunteer typing for an evening
- Auto-captions that guess at the hymns
- A free tier that stops before the sermon
- Cutting the sermon out in an editor
- No timestamps to quote a line
- A monthly plan for a weekly file
✓ The whole service in one pass
One file or one link, and the spoken service returns with chapters and the music set aside.
- Roughly 4 minutes for a two-hour service
- Readings, prayers and sermon as text
- Chapters that mark the sermon's start
- Names of readers and preacher in the brief
- $6 for 500 minutes, no expiry
- Captions for the posted video

FAQ
Church recordings, answered.
How long does a church service take to transcribe?
About 2 minutes for each hour of audio, so a 90-minute service is ready in roughly 3 minutes and a two-hour one in about 4. You can leave the page; the text waits in your Library.
What does a two-hour service cost?
The first 20 minutes are free on a first visit. After that, a $6 pack of 500 minutes transcribes the remaining 100 minutes and still holds 380 for later services. Credits never expire and no subscription is needed.
Will the hymns appear in the transcript?
No. Singing and instrumental music are not transcribed, so the text jumps from the end of one spoken part to the start of the next. The timestamps show where each gap sits in the recording.
Our service video is huge. How big a file can go up?
One file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB. A first-time account uploads files up to 2 GB, and anything bigger begins once a pack has been bought. A service streamed to YouTube can be pasted as a link instead, while a Facebook Live replay is downloaded first and then uploaded.
Do services in other languages work?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese and Tagalog among them. A service that moves between languages is detected on its main language, and English with Tagalog in one recording is handled.
Which exports are there, and is the recording kept private?
TXT and DOCX for a sermon archive or bulletin, SRT and VTT for captions, JSON for a website. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and a service can be deleted whenever you choose.
