Transcribe a recording made in a classroom the lesson, as notes.
A class recorded in a classroom, usually one to three hours, comes back as text at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a three-hour class is ready in roughly 6 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest of that class and nearly two more.
How a classroom sounds on a phone
The teacher at the front is clear. The back row is not.
Front of the room, back of the room
A phone on the teacher's desk or a clip-on microphone hears the lesson cleanly. Students asking from their seats sound distant, chairs scrape, a projector fan hums. The teacher's speech transcribes well; questions come through when they were loud enough to hear on playback. A phone placed between the teacher and the class, rather than at the back wall, catches both sides better.
Questions and answers kept
Questions the recording answers are listed in the brief, which is often the most useful part for revision: what someone asked, and how the teacher explained it, with the time to replay the board work around it.
Notes by topic
Chapters with timestamps break a long class into its topics, and the terms, dates and figures said aloud are listed. A student who missed the lesson reads the brief first and plays only the part they need.
A term of one course
A weekly three-hour class over fourteen weeks is 42 hours, 2,520 minutes. The $12 pack holds 2,000, so a whole term fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, which also covers a second shorter course.
Why recorded classes go unused
Every class is recorded. Almost nobody rewatches three hours.
✗ Only the recording
Students skip through a long file looking for the five minutes they did not understand.
- Three hours of audio with no index
- Notes copied from a friend
- Free tools that stop at 30 minutes
- Captions that lose technical terms
- No way to find one explanation
- A monthly plan for a term's work
✓ The class as text
The lesson becomes notes with chapters, questions and terms, all timed to the recording.
- Roughly 6 minutes per three-hour class
- Chapters for each topic
- Questions from the class listed
- Terms and dates pulled out
- $24 for 5,000 minutes for a term
- DOCX for a revision folder

FAQ
Classroom recordings, the usual questions.
How long does a three-hour class take to transcribe?
About 6 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A one-hour lesson is usually back in about two.
What does a term of classes cost?
A first visit includes the first 20 minutes free. One three-hour class fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Fourteen weekly three-hour classes add up to 2,520 minutes, which the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes covers.
Will students' questions be in the text?
When they were audible on the recording, yes. A question asked quietly at the back may come through partly, and the teacher's repeat of it usually lands in full.
Can I upload a long video of a class?
A recorded class may run to 10 hours or 5 GB in one file. Uploads before any pack reach 2 GB, while a larger video starts as soon as a pack is on the account. A class shared as a Google Drive link can be pasted instead.
Which languages are supported for lessons?
99 languages are detected automatically, with no setting to pick. A class is detected on its main language, and lessons that switch between English and Tagalog are handled.
What can I export, and who can hear the class?
Lessons download as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Classroom recordings stay with us: they are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
