Residents' and members' meetings · 2 to 3 hours · Russian

Transcribe a Russian community meeting and write the minutes from the text, not from memory.

A community meeting held in Russian in Israel, usually two to three hours of reports, questions from the floor and votes, is transcribed at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 2.5-hour meeting is text in around 5 minutes with Russian detected automatically. The first 20 minutes are free, and three such meetings, 450 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.

For the secretary of the meeting

Someone has to turn two and a half hours of discussion into a page of decisions. Start from the full text.

The agenda as chapters

Each item on the agenda becomes a chapter with its start time, from the opening reports to the last question from the floor. The brief lists the decisions and the open points, which is most of what the minutes need.

Numbers that were said aloud

Membership counts, contribution amounts, dates of the next event and the result of each show of hands appear in a list with timestamps, so the secretary can confirm a figure in seconds.

Hebrew words inside Russian speech

Russian is the main language of the recording, and English terms are handled in the same pass. Hebrew street names, office names and loanwords dropped into Russian sentences are worth a quick check against the audio, which the timestamps make easy.

A phone on the table is enough

A voice memo at 64 kbps is about 28.8 MB an hour, so a 3-hour meeting is roughly 86 MB and goes through the box on this page. A video of the hall at higher quality continues on the upload page.

How minutes usually get written

Handwritten notes, a half-remembered vote and a week of delay.

✗ From notes alone

The secretary writes fast while also chairing part of the meeting, and members later dispute what was agreed. Replaying the recording to settle one point takes an evening.

  • Notes that miss half the floor questions
  • Disputes over what was decided
  • A recording too long to replay
  • English-only tools for a Russian meeting
  • No record of who raised which issue
  • Minutes sent out a week late

✓ From the full transcript

The meeting is text before everyone has left the hall, and the minutes are drafted from what was actually said.

  • About 5 minutes for 2.5 hours
  • Every agenda item with a timestamp
  • Votes and figures listed
  • Members who spoke named in the summary
  • DOCX to edit into minutes
  • Text in Russian, ready to share

FAQ

Russian community meetings, answered.

How long does a 2.5-hour meeting take to transcribe?

Around 5 minutes. A 3-hour annual meeting takes about 6, and a quick 90-minute committee session about 3, since processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio.

What does a year of monthly meetings cost?

Twelve 2.5-hour meetings are 1,800 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 200 left for a special session. Only a few meetings to transcribe? Three of them, 450 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500. The credits never expire, so the pack lasts until the next election season.

Is the transcript the official minutes?

No. It is an AI transcript to work from, not a certified or official record and not legal advice. The secretary still writes and approves the minutes; the text makes that faster and settles what was said.

Members mix Russian, Hebrew and English. What happens?

The recording is detected on its main language, Russian here, and English words inside the speech are handled. Hebrew terms come through as they are heard, so read those lines against the audio before quoting them.

Should we split the meeting at the break?

No need. Keep it as one file with the break inside; only a recording longer than 10 hours has to become two files. The size ceiling is 5 GB per file, and before a first pack uploads go up to 2 GB.

Who can see the recording?

Only the account that uploaded it. The meeting is transcribed on our own servers, and recordings are never used for training, so personal matters raised by members stay inside the association. The minutes draft can leave as DOCX, or as TXT, SRT, VTT and JSON.
