Interpreted depositions · English, Spanish and the interpreter

Transcribe an interpreted Spanish deposition with both languages on one timeline.

A 4-hour interpreted deposition, with English questions, Spanish answers and the interpreter's English rendering, comes back as text with timestamps in about 8 minutes, and two such sessions fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. It is an AI transcript for working from: not a certified transcript, not a substitute for the court reporter's record and not legal advice.

Packs from $6, credits never expire · then from $0.36/hour · Credits never expire · Never used to train AI
✓Both languages, one pass · ✓Timestamps throughout · ✓A full day of testimony per file · ✓Never used for training

For litigation teams and paralegals

Before the official transcript arrives, you still have to prepare. A working copy lets you start the day the deposition ends.

What the witness said, in Spanish

The Spanish answers are transcribed as spoken, so a bilingual reviewer can compare the witness's own words with the interpreter's rendering and flag what deserves a closer look.

Every date and figure in one list

Dates, dollar amounts, addresses and names said aloud are listed with timestamps, a head start on the deposition summary. Each item links back to the minute it was said, so a paralegal can cue the video and confirm it.

Chapters by line of questioning

Background, the incident, damages: chapters follow the examination's turns, and the summary names the attorney, the witness and the interpreter where they matter.

A full day of testimony

A session that runs most of the day is still one file of up to 10 hours; send the video through the upload page.

The waiting period

Prep for the next witness cannot wait for the certified transcript.

✗ Working from notes and video

Interpreted testimony runs long because every answer is said twice, and notes taken live usually capture the interpreter, not the witness.

  • Notes that record only the English rendering
  • An afternoon of video to find one answer
  • No way to search the Spanish testimony
  • Paralegals typing excerpts by hand
  • Summaries written from memory
  • A video file too large for email

✓ With a working transcript

The whole session as searchable text, in both languages, on the same day.

  • Spanish answers and English questions as text
  • Search for a name across the session
  • Timestamps to cue the video clip
  • Chapters by line of questioning
  • Dates and amounts listed
  • DOCX ready for the summary memo

FAQ

Interpreted Spanish depositions, answered.

How fast is a 4-hour deposition transcribed?

About 8 minutes after upload, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A full 7-hour day of testimony takes about 14. A team can read the working copy the same evening and arrive at the next session with the earlier answers already searchable.

What do several depositions cost?

One 4-hour deposition is 240 minutes, and a pair of them, 480 minutes, sits inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A case with eight such depositions, 1,920 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, and a heavier docket goes on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

Does a two-language recording come out right?

The recording is detected on its main language and the switches between English and Spanish are handled in the same pass. Check any answer you plan to quote against the video, especially where the witness and the interpreter overlap. Proper names and street names spoken in Spanish are the parts most worth a second listen.

The deposition video is several gigabytes. What then?

One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever comes first, and a file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account. If the video is larger, convert it to MP3: at 128 kbps an hour of audio is about 58 MB, so even a 7-hour day stays near 400 MB.

Does it replace the reporter or a qualified interpreter?

No; it is a preparation tool. Use it for prep, summaries and finding testimony fast; the official record still comes from the reporter, and questions about the interpretation belong with a qualified interpreter.

What formats come back, and where is the deposition processed?

TXT and DOCX for the summary memo, plus SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and no bot joins a remote deposition, because the work happens on the recording afterwards.
