Transcribe Spanish parent meetings for the families who missed them.
A Spanish-language parent night of 90 minutes comes back as text in about 3 minutes, and Spanish is detected without anyone choosing it. The first 20 minutes are free, and the whole meeting uses 90 of the 500 minutes in a $6 pack.
From the cafeteria to every family
The parents who worked the evening shift can read what was said at the meeting.
What these meetings sound like
Family engagement nights, bilingual parent committees and back-to-school sessions usually run an hour to an hour and a half. A coordinator presents in Spanish, a principal may speak through an interpreter, and parents ask questions from the floor. The whole session goes in as one file.
Recorded on whatever was on the table
Most of these are a phone on a lectern or a video call saved as MP4. A phone recording of 90 minutes is small enough for the box above; a long video file continues on upload page without a second step.
Deadlines in one list
The names, numbers and dates said aloud are collected in their own list: the enrollment cutoff, the room for the next workshop, the phone line for the front office. Staff can copy that list into the newsletter without replaying the evening.
A year of meetings, costed
Ten monthly meetings of 90 minutes come to 900 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 with 1,100 minutes left for committee sessions. Credits do not expire, so the remainder carries into next school year.
Why the recording alone does not reach families
A 90-minute video posted to a group chat is not something a parent can skim on a bus.

FAQ
Spanish parent meetings, answered.
How long until a 90-minute parent meeting is text?
Roughly 3 minutes. The rate is about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a one-hour committee session finishes in about 2.
What does a school year of these meetings cost?
One 90-minute meeting fits the $6 pack and leaves 410 minutes. Ten of them over a year total 900 minutes, which belongs on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A first recording gets the first 20 minutes free, and the rest of it transcribes from where that preview stopped once a pack is on the account.
The recording is a large video from a video call. Will it go in?
Before any pack, uploads up to 2 GB are accepted; with a pack, a single file can be up to 5 GB or 10 hours. A 90-minute meeting is well inside both, so there is nothing to cut.
Do I need to tell it the meeting is in Spanish?
No. 99 languages are detected automatically. When a principal speaks English for a few minutes and the interpreter repeats it in Spanish, the meeting is detected on its main language and the switches are handled.
Can families get it in English?
The transcript comes back in the language spoken. Staff who prepare an English version work from the Spanish text, which is faster than working from the audio.
Which files come out, and who sees the recording?
TXT and DOCX for newsletters, SRT and VTT if the video is posted with captions, JSON for anyone building a tool. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so a room full of parents' voices stays with the school.
