Transcribe online course lectures from the link or the download.
To transcribe online course lectures, paste each video's YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive link below, or upload the files if the course lets you download them. A course with 720 minutes of video, twelve hours in all, is covered by the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
For self-paced study
A course you can read and search, not just watch.
Links work without downloading
Course videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, or shared from Google Drive, can be pasted as links. Nothing uploads from your machine. A downloaded lecture works too, and one above 500 MB continues on the upload page.
Courses in 99 languages
The spoken language is detected automatically. A course taught in Portuguese or Japanese goes in the same way as an English one, with no setting to choose.
Read faster than you can watch
A ten-minute read of the brief and chapters can tell you which module you need to watch again. The questions each lecture answers make a ready self-test.
Captions for the videos
Export SRT or VTT and load them in a player that accepts captions, which helps when the course has none or the lecturer speaks quickly.
Why course videos are awkward
Online lectures are easy to start and hard to review.
✗ Reviewing a course by video alone
Course platforms are built for watching in order. Coming back to one idea weeks later means finding the right video and the right minute. When the course runs to dozens of videos, that search can take longer than the original lesson.
- Rewatch whole modules to find one explanation
- Platform captions you cannot search across videos
- No text to quote in an assignment
- Courses in a second language that move too fast
- Notes that stop when your attention does
- No way to keep the material after access ends
✓ The same course, transcribed
Each lecture becomes text you own, with a structure you can move through.
- Every video's transcript in one searchable Library
- Chapters with the minute each topic starts
- A brief and takeaways per lecture
- Questions per lecture to test yourself
- DOCX copies that stay on your machine
- Captions in SRT and VTT

FAQ
Online course transcription, answered.
How long does a course lecture take?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio once the file or link is read. A ninety-minute module is usually ready in about three minutes.
What does it cost to transcribe a whole course?
Add up the video length. A course of 720 minutes of lectures sits inside the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A short course under 500 minutes fits the $6 pack, and a long program above 2,000 minutes fits the $24 pack of 5,000. A first-time visitor also gets the first 20 minutes free, which is enough to see how one module comes out before buying anything.
Is there a size limit on downloaded lectures?
Each file can be up to 5 GB and 10 hours. Before a pack is on the account, uploads are accepted up to 2 GB. Pasted links avoid the upload entirely.
Do I need to split long course videos?
No. A video under 10 hours goes in as one. Most course lectures are far shorter, so each video maps to one transcript. If a platform offers the whole course as a single long download, that works too as long as it stays within 10 hours and 5 GB.
Which languages can the course be in?
Any of 99, detected automatically. You do not set a language before you paste the link.
What formats come out, and who can see my course material?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Check your course's terms on downloading or reusing its videos before you share any transcript.
