How the trial works
Twenty minutes is enough to see whether the hard parts come through.
Short file: all of it
A recording of 20 minutes or less comes back complete: the transcript, the brief, the chapters and the chat. That is the cleanest test, because you see the full result on your own audio, not a demo.
Long file: a preview
A longer recording is previewed from the start. You read real lines from your own file, then decide. Paying picks up where the preview stopped, so nothing is transcribed twice.
Test the hard part
If your worry is a noisy stretch or a heavy accent in the middle, cut a 10 to 15 minute clip of that part and drop it on the upload page. It comes back in full. The free allowance is 20 minutes in total, so a 15-minute test uses most of it.

Do I pay anything to try it?
Nothing for the first 20 minutes. You pay only when you choose a pack to transcribe the rest of a longer recording or to open the exports.
What exactly is free?
The first 20 minutes, once, for a first-time visitor. A file up to 20 minutes is transcribed completely; a longer one is previewed. There is no free daily allowance and no free full transcript of a long recording.
How long will the test take?
About 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 20-minute clip is back in under a minute after it uploads and a 3-hour file in about 6 minutes.
Can I try with a very large file?
Before the first pack, uploads are limited to 2 GB, and one file can be up to 10 hours. For a bigger video, extract the audio first; it is usually a small fraction of the size. The box on this page takes files up to 500 MB, and a larger one continues on the main upload page.
Which pack should I buy after the trial?
Count your minutes. Up to 500 minutes, the $6 pack; up to 2,000, the $12 pack; more than that, the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. A team that records every week can look at the $19 a month Workspace instead.
What happens to my test recording?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. You can delete the file and its transcript whenever you like.
