How much does it cost to transcribe a year of sermons? Usually one pack.
A year of 35-minute Sunday sermons costs $12: 52 sermons come to 1,820 minutes, inside the $12 pack (2,000 minutes) with 180 left, and transcribing the whole 90-minute service each week makes 4,680 minutes on the $24 pack with 320 left. Each service is one file well within 10 hours or 5 GB, a livestream replay on YouTube or Vimeo needs only its link, processing takes about 2 minutes per audio hour, and the first 20 minutes are free.
Fifty-two Sundays
Three ways a church year adds up.
Sermon only, service, or both
Trim to the sermon and a year of 35-minute messages is 1,820 minutes on the $12 pack. Keep 45-minute sermons and the total is 2,340, which tips over to the $24 pack. Whole 90-minute services run to 4,680 minutes, still inside that $24 pack with 320 to spare.
Straight from the livestream
If the service streams to YouTube, paste the replay link; Vimeo and Google Drive links work too, and a sermon podcast can go in by its RSS link. Recordings from the sound desk or a phone go up as files from the upload page.
Worship music is left out
Music and singing are not transcribed; the speech is. Scripture readings, announcements and the sermon come through, and the chapters mark where each part begins, so finding the sermon inside a 90-minute file takes seconds.
What a sermon file becomes
Each one returns a brief with the main point and takeaways, chapters, the names, numbers and dates spoken, the questions the sermon answers, and a chat. The preacher and any other voices are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, ready for a bulletin, a blog post or a study guide.
A church year in text
Why sermon archives stay as audio.
✗ Too slow by hand
Typing a sermon takes a volunteer hours each week, and monthly software plans keep billing through the quiet months.
- Hours of typing per sermon
- Volunteers worn out by spring
- Plans that charge in August too
- File limits shorter than a full service
- Music muddled into the text
- No index across the year
✓ A year on one balance
Fifty-two files, one pack, a searchable year of preaching.
- 1,820 minutes on the $12 pack
- Replays pasted by link
- Chapters that find the sermon
- A brief for the bulletin or blog
- Captions as SRT or VTT
- Leftover minutes kept

FAQ
A year of sermons, answered.
How do I work out my own church's total?
Multiply your average sermon length by the number of Sundays you record. Under 500 minutes, about fourteen 35-minute sermons, the $6 pack fits; up to 2,000 the $12 pack; anything more, midweek studies included, the $24 pack with 5,000 minutes.
Can I try one sermon before buying?
Yes. The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor: a short message transcribes in full, and a longer one is previewed so you can judge the text, after which a pack from $6 transcribes the rest from that point.
Our livestream replay is four hours long. Does it fit?
Yes. One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB. A YouTube replay needs only its link, and a replay over 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account. Trimming the countdown before the service is optional; it simply uses minutes. Four hours is 240 minutes, inside the $6 pack.
How large is a recorded service?
An hour and a half of 128 kbps audio is about 86 MB, while a 1080p video of the same service can reach a couple of gigabytes. Uploads up to 2 GB work before the first pack, and up to 5 GB after it.
Does it handle a service in two languages?
Yes. All 99 supported languages are detected automatically, and a service that switches between languages is detected on its main language. Sermons are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
Is there a plan for a church that records every week?
Packs already suit a weekly rhythm because credits never expire. A ministry team that wants a shared space can look at the $19/month Workspace, though for one weekly sermon a single pack a year is usually enough, as the sums above show.
