How much is transcription per hour? under a dollar, on any pack.
Here an hour of audio works out at about $0.72 on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, $0.36 on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes and about $0.29 on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, and the hour is ready in about 2 minutes. The rate is the same for a 10-hour, 5 GB file as for a short one (files over 2 GB need a pack first), and the first 20 minutes are free.
The hourly rate, explained
One price per minute of running time, and nothing added on top.
Where the hourly figure comes from
Each pack is a block of minutes. Sixty minutes out of 500 for $6 is about $0.72; sixty out of 2,000 for $12 is $0.36; sixty out of 5,000 for $24 is about $0.29. The hourly rate is simply which block you draw from, and it falls as the block grows.
What does not change the rate
Turnaround is about 2 minutes per audio hour whatever you pay, so there is no rush tier. A recording with eight voices, a strong accent, background music or a second language costs the same per hour as a clean solo talk. File type and length do not matter either.
How this differs from per-minute quotes
Many transcription services quote per audio minute and add charges for fast delivery, difficult audio or extra speakers. Here the only variable is running time, and the minutes are bought in advance, so the cost of a project is known before the first upload.
Paying only for what you keep
The first 20 minutes of your first recording are free. Credits never expire, so an hour you do not use this week is still there next year, and there is no subscription to cancel or renewal date to remember. A file up to 500 MB goes in the box here; anything larger continues on the main upload page.
Hourly cost, two ways
A quote that grows with the job, or a rate fixed in advance.

- Speakers named in the summary at no charge

FAQ
Per-hour cost: the follow-up questions.
How much is transcription per hour?
About $0.72 an hour on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, $0.36 on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, and about $0.29 on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. The first 20 minutes of your first recording are free.
What does a 10-hour recording cost?
Ten hours is 600 minutes, 100 more than the smallest pack holds, so it goes on the $12 pack of 2,000, leaving 1,400 minutes. It is one file, as long as it stays under 5 GB, and it comes back in about 20 minutes.
What do 20 or 50 hours cost?
Twenty hours is 1,200 minutes and fits the $12 pack. Fifty hours is 3,000 minutes and fits the $24 pack of 5,000, with about 33 hours left over for later.
Is a non-English hour more expensive?
No. 99 languages are detected automatically, and an hour in Korean, Tagalog, Hebrew or French draws the same 60 minutes as an hour in English.
Are there extra charges for exports or a summary?
No. TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON exports, the brief, chapters, key quotes and the chat over the transcript are all included in the per-hour figure. You can export the same recording in every format without spending more minutes.
Does the price include privacy?
Yes, there is no premium tier for it. Every recording is transcribed on our own servers and never used for training.
