1:1 calls · group programmes · about 2 min per hour

Transcription for coaches so you can listen in the session and read afterwards.

A coach can turn a 60-minute client call into text with a brief, chapters and the commitments the client named in about 2 minutes, because processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

From the call to the follow-up

Be present in the session; the words, the goals and the next steps are on paper after it.

What coaches record

One-to-one sessions of 45 to 90 minutes, intake calls, monthly group calls for a programme cohort, recorded workshops, and the occasional half-day intensive. Most of these are cloud or local recordings from a video-call app, or audio from a phone or recorder in the room. Nothing joins the call; you upload the recording when it is over.

Getting the recording in

Upload the audio or video here up to 500 MB, or on upload page for larger files, up to 10 hours or 5 GB each. A recording saved to Google Drive can be pasted as a share link. Any file up to 5 GB starts immediately; a one-hour video call is usually well under that.

A coaching month, counted

Fifteen one-hour client sessions are 900 minutes; four 90-minute group calls add 360, for 1,260 in total. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

What each session gives you

A brief with the theme of the session and the takeaways, chapters with timestamps as the conversation moves between topics, the goals, dates and numbers the client named, and the questions that came up. The client and you are named in the summary and key quotes. Ask the chat what the client committed to by the next session.

Why notes in the session cost you

Writing while a client talks is the moment you stop listening.

✗ Notes taken mid-session

You split attention between the person in front of you and the page, and the page usually wins.

  • Eye contact lost to the notebook
  • The client's exact words paraphrased away
  • Commitments remembered as roughly 'next month'
  • Group calls where six people's points blur
  • Recaps written late at night
  • No record of how a goal changed over weeks

✓ The session in writing

Your full attention in the call, and an accurate record to work from after it.

  • A 60-minute call readable about 2 minutes later
  • Commitments and dates listed in the brief
  • The client's own phrases to reflect back
  • Chapters for each topic in a group call
  • A recap email drafted from the takeaways
  • Progress traced across months of sessions

00:31:12 When you say you want to lead more, what would that look like on an ordinary Tuesday?
00:31:40 Honestly, it would mean I stop rewriting everyone's slides the night before the meeting.
00:47:55 So the one thing for the next two weeks is to hand the Monday report to someone else.
00:48:20 Yes. I'll ask her on Friday and tell you how it went next session.

FAQ

Questions coaches ask about recording sessions.

Do I need my client's permission to record?

Recording a call needs the consent that the law where you and your client are requires, so ask at the start and keep their answer on the recording. Most coaches also say how the transcript will be used and how long it is kept, which matters more to clients than the recording itself.

How do I keep client sessions confidential?

Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used to train any model. Delete a session and its transcript from your Library whenever your agreement with the client says you should; that is the caution that matters most in this work, since sessions often contain personal details.

What does a month of sessions cost?

Someone new to WhipScribe transcribes the opening minutes at no charge. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes. Up to 3,000 minutes fits $18; and a large group programme or several months at once fits the $32 pack of 6,000. Credits do not expire, so a quiet month uses nothing.

Will a bot join my video call?

No. Nothing connects to your calendar or joins a meeting. You record the session the way you already do, then upload the file or paste a Drive link once it ends.

Can it handle group calls with many voices?

Yes. The transcript covers everyone who speaks, and the summary, key quotes and chapters name the participants. The running transcript does not tag a name on each line, so for a cohort call use the chapters and key quotes to see who raised which point.

My sessions are in Spanish or switch languages. Is that a problem?

99 languages are detected automatically, so a session in Spanish, Hebrew or Japanese needs no setting. A session that moves between two languages is transcribed on its main language; read the other-language passages once before quoting them.
