Transcription for consultants so findings rest on what clients actually said.

A consultant can turn a full-day 6-hour workshop recording into searchable text with chapters in about 12 minutes, since processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

From discovery to the findings deck

Every interview and workshop in one searchable record of the engagement.

What a consultant records

Discovery interviews with stakeholders, usually 45 to 60 minutes on a video call; full-day workshops captured on a room recorder or a phone in the middle of the table; steering-committee readouts; and expert calls. Any of these can run long, and a workshop day often fills six or seven hours of a single file.

From the recorder to the transcript

Upload a file here up to 500 MB, or on upload page for anything larger, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. A workshop recorded in two halves uploads as two files. Recordings shared to you from Google Drive paste as a link. Files up to 5 GB start right away, with or without a pack.

An engagement, priced

Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

What comes back for the analysis

A brief per recording with the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps through the workshop agenda, the names, figures and dates each stakeholder mentioned, and the questions the conversation answered. Participants are named in the summary and key quotes. The chat lets you ask one interview what it said about a theme, such as budget or handovers.

Why interview notes weaken findings

A finding is only as strong as the quote you can point to.

✗ Notes from the room

One consultant facilitates while another types, and both versions miss the part that matters later.

  • Paraphrased quotes the client disputes
  • Workshop flip-charts with no reasoning behind them
  • Figures noted as 'about a third'
  • Themes coded from memory across fourteen interviews
  • A junior spending days typing up audio
  • No way to check who raised the risk first

✓ The engagement as text

Exact words, with time references, across every conversation you held.

  • A 6-hour workshop readable after about 12 minutes
  • Verbatim quotes with timestamps for the deck
  • Figures and dates listed per interview
  • Themes searched across all transcripts
  • DOCX for the appendix
  • JSON for your own coding sheet

04:12:30 If we merge the two service desks, the first year costs more, not less. That's the part nobody likes.
04:13:05 Can we put a number on that? Even a range would help the steering group.
04:13:22 Somewhere between ninety and a hundred and twenty thousand, mostly retraining and overlap.
04:40:18 Let's park the merger and vote on the triage change first; that one we can do in March.

FAQ

Questions consultants ask before uploading.

Can I upload client recordings under an NDA?

Check your engagement terms first; some contracts limit which outside services may process client material, and that is the caution that matters most here. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers, never used for training, and can be deleted from your Library when the engagement closes.

Do I need consent to record stakeholder interviews?

Yes, recording a call or a meeting needs the consent required by the law where you are, so ask at the start and capture the answer on the recording. Telling interviewees how quotes will be used, and whether they are attributed, helps people speak freely.

How long can a workshop recording be?

Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. A long day on one recorder usually fits; a recording that runs over 10 hours, or a multi-day offsite, uploads as one file per session. Each file can be read in about 2 minutes per hour of audio.

What will an engagement cost?

Every recording starts with a free preview of its opening minutes. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes. Most discovery phases fit the $18 pack of 3,000; a diagnostic with dozens of interviews fits the $32 pack of 6,000. Credits never expire and there are no per-seat fees.

Can I use the transcripts in qualitative coding?

Yes. Export DOCX or TXT into your coding tool, or JSON if you script your own analysis; timestamps come with every export. There is no direct link to any analysis software, so you move the files across yourself.

Are client names and figures pulled out?

The brief lists the names, numbers and dates spoken in each recording, which is a fast way to check a figure before it reaches a slide. Read the passage around a number once before quoting it to a client.
