Transcribe a 6-hour workshop as one file, one timeline.
A 6-hour workshop is 360 minutes of audio, and it comes back as one timestamped transcript in about 12 minutes, without splitting the recording. The first 20 minutes are free as a preview, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes transcribes the rest and leaves 140 minutes.
A full workshop day
Morning, lunch and afternoon, back as one searchable document.
No splitting at lunch
One file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a six-hour day goes in as recorded, breaks included. Silence over lunch produces no text, and the timestamps run from the first word of the morning to the last of the afternoon.
360 minutes, the arithmetic
Processing at about 2 minutes per audio hour makes six hours roughly 12 minutes. The workshop uses 360 of the $6 pack's 500 minutes and leaves 140. A two-day workshop of 720 minutes goes on the $12 pack of 2,000 and leaves 1,280.
Exercises and sessions as chapters
Workshops move between talks, group exercises and report-backs. Each becomes a chapter with a start time, and the brief lists the takeaways, the frameworks named and the questions raised, which is most of a follow-up handout already written.
Large video files
A full day of video can pass 2 GB. Those files start once a pack is on the account, up to 5 GB. If the workshop was recorded to Google Drive, paste the share link on upload page instead of downloading it first.
Where a full day breaks other tools
Six hours is past the point where most tools stop.
✗ Six hours the usual way
A long recording gets cut into pieces, uploaded one at a time, and stitched back together by hand.
- Cutting the file at each break
- A clock that resets in each piece
- An API refusing anything over 25 MB
- Afternoon sessions never transcribed
- Facilitator notes standing in for the record
- A follow-up email that misses half the day
✓ Six hours in one go
The whole day is one upload, one transcript and one clock.
- Roughly 12 minutes of processing
- First 20 minutes free to preview
- The $6 pack still holds 140 minutes
- A chapter per session and exercise
- Takeaways and questions in the brief
- DOCX for the handout

FAQ
6-hour workshops, the common questions.
How long does a 6-hour workshop take to transcribe?
About 12 minutes. The rate is roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio; our proof page shows 4.94 hours finished in 372 seconds and 9.31 hours in 1,033 seconds.
How much is a six-hour day?
It fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 140 left. Two days, 720 minutes, belong on the $12 pack of 2,000. Shorter sessions spread the pack further: 100 minutes is the length we see most among paying uploads, and five of those use the whole $6 pack.
How big is a six-hour recording?
Audio at 128 kbps for 21,600 seconds is 2,765 megabits, about 346 MB. Video averaging 1.5 Mbps for the same time is about 4 GB, which uploads once a pack is on the account, since the limit before a pack is 2 GB and after it 5 GB.
Do I need to split it into morning and afternoon?
No. One file can run up to 10 hours. If the workshop was streamed and the replay runs past 6 hours, a stream VOD of that length starts once a pack is on the account.
What if the workshop is not in English?
Detection covers 99 languages without any setting. A workshop that switches language is detected on its main language, and English with Tagalog in one recording is handled.
What downloads are there, and does the recording stay private?
All five formats, TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, come from a single run. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Teams that run workshops every week can also look at the $19 a month Workspace.
