Transcribe an 8-hour training day in one go, on one pack.
An eight-hour training day is 480 minutes of audio, which goes in as one file and comes back in about 16 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free. The $6 pack holds 500 minutes, so the whole day fits on it with 20 to spare. The file only needs splitting if it passes 5 GB.
What a full training day becomes
Eight hours of instruction, turned into reference material by the end of the day.
Eight hours is one upload
A file can run up to 10 hours, so the morning, the lunch break and the afternoon stay together. A public test of a 9.31-hour recording finished in 1,033 seconds, a little over 17 minutes. The box here takes 500 MB; a full-day video continues on the upload page.
Modules as chapters
Training days run in blocks: safety, the system walkthrough, the case studies, the assessment brief. The chapters find those blocks and give each a timestamp, so the transcript works as an index to the video.
Reference material, not just a record
The brief lists the questions the trainers answered, and the names, figures and dates they gave. Those turn into a quiz, a one-page summary for each module, or a draft procedure for people who join next quarter.
The pack arithmetic
480 minutes fits the $6 pack of 500 with 20 minutes left, the tightest fit on the ladder. A three-day programme is 1,440 minutes and belongs on the $12 pack of 2,000. A training team that records every week can also look at the $19 a month Workspace.
Why a full day is hard elsewhere
Eight hours outlasts nearly every limit a quick tool sets.
✗ A day of video and no index
A recorded training day is usually kept for compliance and never watched again, because nothing in it can be found.
- Caps that stop at an hour or two
- The day cut into eight files
- Video no one can search
- Trainer answers lost after the session
- Notes that cover the slides, not the talk
- A new joiner told to watch eight hours
✓ A day you can search
The whole training day comes back as one transcript with modules, answers and figures pulled out.
- About 16 minutes for 480 minutes
- The first 20 minutes of the day free
- All 480 minutes on one $6 pack
- Chapters for each module
- Trainers identified in the summary and key quotes
- DOCX and JSON for a knowledge base

FAQ
Eight-hour training days, the common questions.
How long until an 8-hour training day is text?
About 16 minutes, because each audio hour takes roughly 2. You can close the page once it starts; the finished transcript waits in your Library.
What does a full 8-hour training day cost?
480 minutes on the $6 pack of 500, leaving 20 minutes or more. Two full days, 960 minutes, are a job for the $12 pack of 2,000, and a week of daily sessions, 2,400 minutes, for the $24 pack of 5,000.
The day's video is 6 GB. What are my options?
One file can be up to 5 GB, and anything over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account. For a 6 GB video, export the audio track, which for eight hours is around 460 MB as an MP3, or send the morning and afternoon as two files. If the video is on YouTube or Vimeo, paste the link instead.
Is there any point splitting the day by module?
Not for the transcript. One eight-hour file keeps one timeline and the chapters separate the modules for you. Split only if a file passes 5 GB or 10 hours.
Our trainers switch between English and Tagalog. Is that handled?
Yes. English and Tagalog switches in one recording are handled, and 99 languages are detected automatically. Recordings are detected on their main language, so for other mixes, review the passages in the second language.
Which exports are there, and does the content stay private?
Exports come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, which matters for internal procedures and product material.
