4-hour course · about 8 min · chapters as a table of contents

Transcribe a long training video into a manual people can search.

A long training video holds the procedure, but nobody can search a video for the step they forgot. Upload a recording of up to 10 hours or paste its link, and a 4-hour course comes back in about 8 minutes, with chapters, captions and a DOCX to build the manual from.

Why a training video is not a manual

People rewatch forty minutes to find a ninety-second step.

Chapters become the contents page

Chapters with timestamps divide a four-hour session into the topics it really covers. Copy them into the top of the manual and each heading already knows where it sits in the video.

Captions for the video itself

The same run exports SRT and VTT, so the training video gets captions in your learning platform while the DOCX becomes the written version.

Search the whole course

Every module lands in a Library searchable across recordings. A new hire who types "refund over limit" finds the module and the minute where the trainer explained it.

Linked courses need no download

Training hosted on YouTube, Vimeo or a Google Drive share link goes in by pasting the link. Downloaded files go up through this page, and anything over 500 MB continues on the upload page, up to 5 GB.

Turning video into reference

Six hours of recorded training, and the same five questions every week.

✗ Training that only exists as video

Accurate, complete and almost impossible to look anything up in. Staff ask a colleague instead, and the colleague has to remember which module covered it.

  • No way to search for a step
  • Rewatching a module to find one setting
  • A manual someone meant to write last year
  • No captions for people watching without sound
  • Long videos rejected by short-file tools
  • Subject experts asked the same question again

✓ Training with a transcript

The same video, plus text that answers questions.

  • Every step searchable across modules
  • Chapters that jump to the right minute
  • A DOCX draft of the manual
  • SRT and VTT captions from the same run
  • One file per module up to 10 hours
  • Questions answered by the chat over the transcript

Sample output

The step people always ask about.

This excerpt is illustrative and written for this page. It stands for the kind of procedural passage a long training video holds three hours in.

03:12:05 Now, refunds over the limit. This is the one you'll get wrong in your first month, so slow down here.
03:12:18 Anything over two hundred and fifty goes to the approval queue, not straight back to the card. You add the order number in the note field, and the reason code is always R4.

03:12:49 You tell them the approval is usually same day, and you set a callback. You do not promise a time.

FAQ

Long training videos, answered.

How long does a 4-hour training video take?

Roughly 8 minutes, since processing runs at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. The video's upload can take longer than that, and a pasted link avoids it.

What does a full training library cost?

A single 4-hour course is 240 minutes and fits the $6 pack of 500. Six modules of 90 minutes are 540 minutes, which goes on the $12 pack of 2,000. A library of 60 hours is 3,600 minutes, which belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000; that pack also includes API access.

How large can a training video file be?

Up to 5 GB and 10 hours. Until a pack is on the account, an upload can be up to 2 GB; past that, the file starts once a pack is there.

Our course is a single 12-hour recording. Can it go in?

Not as one file, because the ceiling is 10 hours. Split it at a natural break into two videos and upload both; each comes back with its own chapters.

We train staff in Spanish and English. Do I need two settings?

No. The spoken language is detected automatically, from 99 languages, so each video simply goes up.

Which exports go into a learning platform, and is internal training kept private?

SRT and VTT serve as captions, DOCX and TXT serve the manual, and JSON suits a script. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so internal procedures stay internal.
