Transcribe a 2-hour conference session every talk in the block, as text before the coffee break ends.
A 2-hour conference session is transcribed in about 4 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio; room audio from the sound desk is usually around 115 MB as an MP3, while the session video is often between a few hundred MB and 2 GB. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.
For organisers, speakers and attendees
A two-hour block of talks, with each speaker's part easy to find.
From the AV team or the event platform
The AV crew usually hands over a video per session or an audio feed from the desk; upload whichever you have. If the event published sessions on Vimeo or YouTube, paste the link. Virtual-event platforms differ on downloads, so check the session page for an export option. The upload box here takes files up to 500 MB, and larger files continue on the upload page.
Four minutes for two hours
At about 2 minutes per hour of audio, a two-hour session is back in about four. Applause and walk-on music are not transcribed.

A record of the ideas
Chapters mark each talk or panel segment. The brief states the session's thesis and takeaways and lists the figures, names and dates spoken, including numbers read off the slides. Speakers and moderators are named in the summary and key quotes, which helps when writing the recap post.
Why session content disappears after the event

FAQ
Two-hour conference sessions: frequent questions.
How long does a 2-hour session take to transcribe?
About 4 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A full conference day of six hours in one file takes about twelve.
Should I split the block into individual talks?
Not to transcribe it. One file of up to 10 hours or 5 GB is fine, and chapters mark each talk. Split only if you want a separate brief for each speaker.
The session video is bigger than 2 GB. What happens?
Before the first pack, uploads up to 5 GB start right away; a larger file can be split or have its audio exported. Uploading the audio track alone is a simpler option if you can export it.
Do we need the speakers' permission?
Check your speaker agreements; many events already cover recording and publication. Transcribing a session you are allowed to record and publish is the usual case.
What will a whole conference cost?
Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes. Credits never expire, so leftover minutes can wait for next year's event.
Where are the recordings processed?
Sessions are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. You can export TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON.
