Transcribe a 5-hour conference day every talk, one room at a time.
A five-hour conference day is 300 minutes of audio per room, and it comes back as text in about 10 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free. A $6 pack of 500 minutes covers one room for the day with at least 200 minutes left. Three rooms, 900 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000.
What a conference day becomes
Talks, panels and Q&A from a full day, ready for recaps and captions.
One room, one file
Conference audio usually comes either as one long recording per room or as a file per session. Both work. A room recording of five hours stays as one file, and the chapters split it back into talks. A file above the 500 MB this box takes continues on the upload page.
Talks and panels as chapters
Each keynote, talk and panel tends to become its own chapter with a timestamp. That gives the events team the cut points for the session videos and gives attendees a contents page for the day.
Quotes for the recap
Every speaker is identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. Quotes carry the minute they were said, which is what a recap post, a newsletter or a sponsor report needs.
Walk-on music and applause skipped
Music, applause and room noise are not transcribed; the speech is. Audience questions asked away from a microphone can come back faint or partial, so check the Q&A sections against the audio before quoting them.
Why a conference day is hard elsewhere
A full day per room, across several rooms, is more audio than most tools plan for.
✗ After the event, usually
The recordings exist, but turning them into anything readable takes weeks, so most never get past the video archive.
- Five hours per room, several rooms
- Upload limits far below one room's day
- Session videos with no captions
- Recaps written from the slides only
- Quotes remembered rather than checked
- Paying per seat for a one-off event
✓ After the event, here
Each room's day comes back as one transcript with the talks split out and the quotes ready.
- About 10 minutes per room
- First 20 minutes of the room free
- Chapters for each talk and panel
- Panelists named in the summary, quotes and chapters
- SRT and VTT for every session video
- Packs bought once, no seats

FAQ
Five-hour conference days, the common questions.
How long does a 5-hour conference day take to transcribe?
About 10 minutes per room, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. Several rooms can be sent one after another on the same day.
What does a conference day cost?
One room for five hours is 300 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. Three rooms are 900 minutes and two days of two rooms are 1,200, both of which fit the $12 pack of 2,000. A larger event, say three rooms over two days at 1,800 minutes, still fits that pack with 200 left.
How big is a 5-hour room recording?
As an MP3 it is around 290 MB. The room's video at conference quality is often 2 to 5 GB. Up to 2 GB uploads before a pack and up to 5 GB once a pack is on the account. If the day was livestreamed to YouTube, the replay link needs no upload.
Should we split the room recording into separate talks first?
Not necessary. One file can be up to 10 hours, and the chapters separate the talks. If you already have a file per session, upload those instead; each keeps its own clock.
Some talks were in another language. Will they come out?
Each file is detected on its main language, from 99 that need no setting. A room where every talk is in Spanish or Japanese works as it is. A room that alternates languages is better sent as one file per talk.
Which formats come out, and is unreleased content private?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON from each run. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so talks that are not public yet stay that way.
