120-minute lecture · about 4 min to process · first 20 min free

Transcribe a 2-hour lecture and revise from the text.

A two-hour lecture is 120 minutes of audio, and it comes back as text in about 4 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free. A $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the lecture and leaves at least 380 minutes, roughly three more lectures of the same length.

What a two-hour lecture becomes

A double session turned into notes you can study from tonight.

Recorded from the back row

Most lectures are captured on a phone near the front, a laptop in the hall, or the university's lecture capture. Any of those works. The closer the microphone was to the lecturer, the cleaner the text, and student questions from the far side of the room are the parts to check.

Topics as chapters

A two-hour session usually covers three or four topics with a break between. The chapters mark each one with a timestamp, so the derivation you missed at minute 70 is one click away instead of a long scrub.

Revision questions included

The brief lists the questions the lecture answers, which makes a ready set of revision prompts. The names, dates and figures the lecturer said aloud are collected in one list for the exam week.

Ask the lecture a question

The chat reads the whole transcript, so you can ask what was said about a term, a case or a formula and get the passage with its timestamp. It answers from the recording, not from the internet.

Why two hours is awkward elsewhere

A double lecture is too long for most free tools and too long to retype.

✗ Studying from the recording

Without a transcript, a two-hour recording is something you replay at double speed and still miss parts of.

  • Replaying two hours to find one example
  • A free limit that ends mid-lecture
  • Notes with gaps where you looked away
  • No search for a term the lecturer used
  • Captions that cannot be downloaded
  • Retyping slides that were only spoken

✓ Studying from the text

The whole lecture comes back as one document you can search, skim and quote.

  • Ready in about 4 minutes
  • The opening 20 minutes free
  • Chapters by topic, with timestamps
  • Revision questions from the brief
  • A chat that cites the minute
  • DOCX for notes, SRT for the class video

00:01:30 We left off at supply shocks. Today we finish that, break at the hour, then start on expectations.
00:34:12 Write this down, because it will be on the exam: the curve shifts, it does not slide along itself.
00:58:40 Does the same thing happen if the shock is only expected and never arrives?
01:47:05 For Thursday, read chapter nine, and bring one example from the news of an expectations shock.

FAQ

Two-hour lectures, the common questions.

How quickly is a 2-hour lecture transcribed?

About 4 minutes. The pace is roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a double lecture is ready before you have packed your bag.

What does one lecture cost, and what about a whole semester?

One lecture uses 120 minutes of the $6 pack of 500. A course with one two-hour lecture a week for 14 weeks is 1,680 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 with 320 minutes left. Two such courses, 3,360 minutes, belong on the $24 pack of 5,000.

How large is a 2-hour lecture file?

A phone audio recording of two hours is usually somewhere between 60 and 120 MB. Lecture capture video of the same length is often 1 to 2 GB. Both upload before a pack, since the limit then is 2 GB; after a pack it is 5 GB.

Should I cut out the break in the middle?

Leave it in. A pause or an empty room produces no text, and one file can run up to 10 hours, so the lecture goes in as recorded with its own timeline.

My lecture switches between English and another language. Will that work?

99 languages are detected automatically, and a recording is detected on its main language. Switching between English and Tagalog in one lecture is handled. For other mixes, read the passages in the second language closely.

Which exports are there, and who sees my recording?

Notes export as TXT or DOCX, captions as SRT or VTT, and data as JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete a lecture and its transcript at any time.
