Transcribe a 3-hour class recording and study from the text.
A 3-hour class recording is 180 minutes of teaching and discussion, and it comes back as text with chapters in about 6 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers this class and a second one of the same length.
One long class
A three-hour seminar, turned into notes you can review in twenty minutes.
Text in roughly six minutes
Three hours of class takes about 6 minutes at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A recording from Zoom, a lecture capture system or a phone on the desk all work, and links from YouTube or Google Drive need no download.
The class split into topics
Long classes wander: a recap, two new topics, a worked example, a break, questions. Chapters follow those turns with timestamps, so you can go straight to the example you did not follow the first time.
What the instructor said would be tested
Deadlines, reading assignments, formulas and dates said aloud are listed in the brief with where they came up. The brief also gives the main argument of the session and its takeaways, and the instructor and any guest speaker are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.
A term on one pack
Two 3-hour classes use 360 of the $6 pack's 500 minutes. A weekly 3-hour class over a 14-week term is 2,520 minutes, which needs the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes and still leaves room for a second course.
Why long classes are hard to review
Nobody rewatches three hours of class the night before an exam.
✗ Just the class video
The video sits in the course page, and finding one explanation means scrubbing through all of it.
- Scrubbing three hours for one example
- Notes that stop when your hand gets tired
- Captions that drop technical terms
- A free tier that ends after the first hour
- Two files to stitch after the break
- No list of what was assigned
✓ The class as study material
The whole session becomes searchable text with the important parts pulled out.
- Six minutes or so for the whole class
- Topics as chapters with timestamps
- Assignments and dates listed
- Chat to ask what was said about a topic
- DOCX for your own notes
- Room for a second class on the $6 pack

FAQ
A 3-hour class recording, the common questions.
How long does a 3-hour class take to transcribe?
About 6 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. Close the tab if you like; the transcript waits in your Library.
What does a 3-hour class cost?
180 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, leaving 320, which is enough for one more class of the same length. New visitors get the first 20 minutes free, and the pack continues the class from the minute the free part stopped.
How big is the recording, and will it upload?
A Zoom recording of three hours is often a few hundred megabytes to around 1 GB; a phone voice memo is usually under 200 MB. Up to 2 GB uploads before a pack and up to 5 GB after one, so most class recordings go straight in.
The class has a break in the middle. Do I need two files?
No. One file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB. The break simply shows up as a gap in the timestamps, and the chapters pick up when the class resumes.
Which languages are supported?
99 languages, detected automatically. A class taught mainly in one language with terms or quotes in another is detected on its main language, and English and Tagalog switches in one recording are handled.
Which files can I download, and who can see the class?
The class comes out in five formats: TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete them at any time.
