Transcribe a 2-hour user interview Quotes and pain points, ready for synthesis.
A 2-hour user interview is 120 minutes and comes back as text in about 4 minutes; the audio-only M4A that Zoom saves is usually well under 150 MB, and the screen-share MP4 is larger. One session uses 120 of the $4 pack's 300 minutes, and a first visit includes a free preview of the opening minutes.
Research sessions
Long interviews, contextual inquiries and usability sessions.
Why these run two hours
Contextual inquiries, diary-study debriefs and usability sessions with a long task list regularly pass the hour. The recording usually comes from Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, saved to the cloud or the laptop, or from a phone left on the participant's desk during a site visit.
Nothing joins the call
No bot sits in your session and nothing has to be installed for the participant. You record the way you already do, then upload the file afterwards or paste a Google Drive link to it. The transcript is built from the recording alone.
What the synthesis needs
A brief with the session's main findings, chapters that follow your discussion guide, and the product names, prices, tools and dates the participant mentioned. Participant and researcher are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the chat over the transcript answers questions like where the participant got stuck.
A whole study
Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes. Credits never expire between studies.
Interview analysis
Why two-hour research sessions get half-analysed.
✗ Working from the note-taker's sheet
A note-taker keeps up for an hour; by the second hour the sheet is headlines, and the best quotes are gone.
- Rewatching recordings to find a quote
- Pain points paraphrased into jargon
- Meeting bots that unsettle participants
- Tools capped below a long session
- Screen-share files too large to upload
- Synthesis delayed by a week
✓ Every session as text
Verbatim speech, chapters and a brief for each participant.
- 120 minutes per upload
- About 4 minutes to text
- Chapters by guide section
- Quotes with timestamps
- Tools and prices mentioned, listed
- JSON for your research repository

FAQ
2-hour user interviews, answered.
How long does a 2-hour session take to transcribe?
Close to 4 minutes, since processing runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour. The public proof page shows a 9.31-hour file done in 1,033 seconds, so a whole day of sessions finishes over lunch.
Does a bot need to join our Zoom or Teams call?
No. Nothing joins the call. Record the session as you normally do, then upload the file or paste a Google Drive share link afterwards.
What does a study cost?
Each 2-hour session is 120 minutes. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire. On a first visit the opening minutes of a session are free, and once a pack is added the rest is transcribed from where that preview stopped, so nothing is processed twice.
The screen recording is 2.5 GB. Can I upload it?
Yes, with or without a pack on the account; uploads go up to 5 GB. Each file can be up to 5 GB or 10 hours. The audio-only M4A from Zoom holds the same speech in a fraction of the size.
Our participants speak Spanish or Swedish. Does that work?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, and product names said in English inside other speech are handled.
Is participant data used to train anything?
No. Sessions are transcribed on our own servers, and no recording is ever used for training. Exports come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, and the JSON keeps timestamps for tagging quotes in your research repository. If your consent form promises participants that recordings stay inside the team, the transcript can be kept the same way.
