Transcribe a 4-hour planning session so the plan matches what was said.

A 4-hour planning session is 240 minutes of audio and is transcribed in about 8 minutes; a video-call recording of it is usually 0.5 to 2 GB, and an audio-only copy around 230 MB. The $4 pack of 300 minutes takes it with room for a second session, and the opening minutes are a free preview.

Half a day of planning

The plan is decided out loud. The document should come from that.

Quarterly, annual or sprint planning

Roadmap days, budget sessions and quarterly planning tend to run three to four hours, on a call or in a room with a speakerphone. Save the recording from Zoom, Teams or Meet and drop it here up to 500 MB, or on the upload page for larger video; a Drive share link also works.

Decisions, owners, dates

The brief lists what was agreed and the takeaways; the names, numbers and dates said aloud are listed with timestamps, so 'Finance to confirm headcount by the 15th' is captured as it was said, not as somebody remembered it.

Chapters per team or goal

Planning moves through goals, team updates, dependencies and risks. Chapters fall at those turns, and participants are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so a team that left early can read its own section.

A year of planning, priced

Four quarterly 4-hour sessions are 960 minutes, which fits the $18 pack of 3,000. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

After the whiteboard is wiped

Four hours of trade-offs, summarised in a few bullet points.

✗ The usual follow-up

Someone writes up the plan from notes, and the reasoning behind each decision disappears.

  • Decisions remembered differently by each team
  • Owners missing from the write-up
  • The reasoning lost behind the bullet points
  • Recordings nobody has time to replay
  • Dates agreed on the call, wrong in the doc
  • Free tools that end before the risks section

✓ The session as text

Everything said in the room, searchable, with the decisions pulled out.

  • About 8 minutes to text
  • Decisions and owners listed
  • Dates and figures with timestamps
  • Chapters per goal or team
  • Ask the chat what was agreed
  • DOCX to start the written plan

FAQ

4-hour planning sessions: the follow-up questions.

How long does a 4-hour planning session take to transcribe?

About 8 minutes. Processing runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so the transcript is ready before the participants are back at their desks.

What does it cost to transcribe our planning sessions for a year?

One 4-hour session uses 240 of the 300 minutes in the $4 pack. Credits never expire.

Will it capture who agreed to what?

Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the decisions and owners appear in the brief. Read the commitment back in the transcript at its timestamp before you put it in the plan.

Does anything have to join our planning call?

No. Nothing joins a live call. Record the session as you usually would and upload the file afterwards, or paste a Google Drive link.

Our offsite recording is 5.5 GB. What then?

Each file is capped at 5 GB and 10 hours. Export the audio track or a lighter video copy; four hours of audio as M4A or MP3 is a few hundred MB. Before the first pack, uploads up to 5 GB go through, and a file between 2 and 5 GB starts at once.

Which languages and exports are there, and is it private?

99 languages are detected automatically, including sessions that mix English product terms into another language. The plan can leave as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Planning recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
