Transcribe a 4-hour retreat session for everyone who was there and everyone who wasn't.
A 4-hour retreat session is 240 minutes of audio and is transcribed in about 8 minutes; a phone or recorder file of it is typically 100 to 250 MB. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.
A session away
What was said on the retreat, kept after everyone goes home.
Recorded wherever the retreat is
Leadership retreats, faith retreats, writers' weekends and wellness programmes are usually recorded on a phone at the front, a small recorder, or a camera in the hall. The file goes in the box here up to 500 MB and on the upload page beyond that; a Drive share link avoids the upload altogether.
Talks, practice and silence
A retreat session mixes a talk, an exercise, small-group sharing and quiet time. Chapters follow those shifts with timestamps. Long silences simply pass, and singing, music and bells are not transcribed; the speech is.
The themes, written down
The brief gives the session's main thread and takeaways, the questions it answered, and the names, readings and dates mentioned. Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters when they introduce themselves.
A whole weekend in one pack
Three 4-hour sessions over a weekend come to 720 minutes, on the $18 pack of 3,000 with 2,280 left for the next retreat. On its own, one session takes 240 of the 300 minutes in the $4 pack.
When the retreat is over

FAQ
4-hour retreat sessions, answered.
How long does a 4-hour retreat session take to transcribe?
Expect about 8 minutes; long audio runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour. Upload sessions as they finish and read them over the next break.
What does a full retreat cost?
One session uses 240 of the 300 minutes in the $4 pack. Running four retreats a year with three sessions each is 2,880 minutes, on the $18 pack of 3,000 minutes. Credits never expire.
We recorded the whole day as one file. Is that a problem?
A single file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a long day usually stays whole. If the recorder ran past 10 hours, split it at a break into two files.
Is the retreat recording private?
Retreat recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Sharing circles are often personal, so you may prefer to trim those passages from the file before uploading.
The camera file is 3 GB. Will it upload?
A first upload without a pack can be up to 5 GB; a heavier file needs a split or an audio-only export. An audio-only copy of the session is a fraction of that size.
Which languages, and what exports come back?
99 languages are detected automatically; a session that moves between two languages is detected on its main one. The text comes back as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON.
