3 to 6 hour sessions · one file each · about 2 min per audio hour

Transcribe academic society sessions one file per room, one chapter per talk.

An academic society (学会) session of 3 to 6 hours is transcribed in 6 to 12 minutes, one file per session, with a chapter for each presentation and its questions. The first 20 minutes are free, and a 5-hour session, 300 minutes, fits on the $6 pack of 500 minutes.

Packs from $6, credits never expire · then from $0.36/hour · Credits never expire · Never used to train AI
✓A 6-hour session, about 12 minutes · ✓Japanese or English, no setting · ✓Opening 20 minutes free, USD packs after · ✓A session per file, to 10 h or 5 GB

What a session recording turns into

Every talk in the room, with its discussion, as text by the evening reception.

Each room, its own upload

Keep each session or room as its own recording. A file up to 10 hours or 5 GB goes in whole on the upload page, so a full afternoon of oral presentations needs no cutting, and each talk becomes its own chapter.

Japanese and English sessions

Japanese is detected automatically, and so is English for an international session. A talk that switches into English for terms or slides is transcribed on the recording's main language.

The discussion after each talk

The questions from the floor are often where the real argument happens. The transcript keeps them with the presentation, and the chat over the transcript finds which presenter answered a question on methods.

A whole meeting, priced

Three days with two 5-hour sessions a day come to 1,800 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A society recording every room across a large meeting will want the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

Why session recordings go unread

Parallel rooms mean you miss most of the meeting. The recordings rarely get watched.

✗ Hours of session video

The society records the rooms, but nobody has time to replay six hours to catch one talk.

  • Parallel sessions you could not attend
  • Slides without the spoken explanation
  • Floor discussion lost after the meeting
  • No search across rooms or days
  • Apps capped well below one session
  • A report for the newsletter written from memory

✓ A meeting you can search

Each session becomes text with chapters per talk, the studies cited and the questions asked.

  • Twelve minutes or so for a 6-hour room
  • Speakers named in the brief and chapters
  • Chapters for each presentation
  • Numbers, dates and studies listed
  • One pack for a whole meeting
  • DOCX for a session report

FAQ

Academic society recordings, the common questions.

How long does a 6-hour session take to transcribe?

About 12 minutes. A public run on our proof page took 9.31 hours of audio through in 1,033 seconds, so even a long session day is back quickly.

What does a whole meeting cost?

A 5-hour session is 300 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Six sessions of 5 hours, 1,800 minutes, fit on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, and a meeting with many rooms suits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. These prices are US dollars.

Should I upload a whole day or one session at a time?

One file per session works best: chapters line up with the talks, and each file stays well under 10 hours. A poster session or a plenary lecture can go in on its own as well. Should a single recording exceed 10 hours, divide it into two uploads.

How large can a session file be?

Up to 5 GB, or up to 2 GB before the first pack. A video file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account; if the upload refuses the file, convert it to MP3 first.

Can members read sessions they missed?

Yes, if the society or the presenters have agreed to the recording being shared. Check with the organisers before circulating a transcript of someone's unpublished work. Many presentations report results that are not yet in print, and the presenter should decide who reads them.

Which formats come out, and where does the session audio go?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
