Transcribe a Catalan lecture recorded in Spain and study from the page instead of the recording.
A 2-hour Catalan-language university lecture recorded in Spain is transcribed in about 4 minutes, with Catalan detected automatically and each topic marked as a chapter. The opening minutes are a free preview, and a semester of fourteen 2-hour classes in one subject, 1,680 minutes, fits the $18 pack of 3,000 minutes.
For students and research assistants
The lecturer covers a chapter of the syllabus in two hours. You need it in text before the exam, not on a phone.
Ask first, then record
Record a class only with the lecturer's agreement and keep the text for your own study; then drop the phone file here or send a longer one through the upload page.
Topics become chapters
Chapters mark each new topic, worked example and digression, and the brief sums up the main argument of the session.
What will be examined
Dates, names, definitions and figures the lecturer said aloud are gathered in a list, the part most students copy into their notes first.
Phone audio is light
A 2-hour voice memo at 64 kbps is about 58 MB (8 KB a second times 7,200 seconds), so it uploads in moments and the text follows about 4 minutes later.
Why lecture recordings go unplayed
Recording every class is easy. Replaying two hours to find one definition is not.
✗ The recording folder
A phone full of class recordings that nobody has time to replay in exam season.
- Two hours replayed for one date
- Notes copied in a hurry
- Tools that guess Spanish instead of Catalan
- Upload limits too small for a full class
- No index of topics
- A monthly subscription for one term
✓ Lecture as text
Each class turns into Catalan text with chapters and the key facts listed, ready to highlight.
- About 4 minutes per 2-hour class
- Catalan picked up with no setting
- The lecturer named in the summary
- Definitions and dates listed
- Chat to revisit any explanation
- DOCX to print and annotate
Sample output
A history lecture in Catalan, at the parts worth revising.
Illustrative lines written for this page, not from a real university or lecturer. In English: today we continue with topic three, the industrial revolution in Catalonia; note this date because it will be in the exam, eighteen thirty-two; any questions so far?; for next week, read chapter four of the textbook.

FAQ
Catalan lectures, answered.
How long does a 2-hour lecture take?
About 4 minutes. A 90-minute seminar takes about 3, at around 2 minutes per hour of audio. Upload on the train home and the chapters, the list of dates and the brief are waiting before you reach your stop, ready to merge with your own notes.
The lecturer switches to Spanish or quotes English sources. Does that work?
Catalan is detected as the main language, and English terms and quotations inside the speech are handled. A recording that switches language is detected on its main language, so a class given mostly in Spanish is transcribed as Spanish.
What does a semester cost?
Four 2-hour lectures, 480 minutes, fit the $18 pack of 3,000 minutes. Fourteen classes of one subject, 1,680 minutes, fit the $18 pack of 3,000 minutes, and two subjects across a semester, twenty-eight classes or 3,360 minutes, fit the $32 pack of 6,000 minutes. Credits never expire, so leftovers carry into the next term.
Do I split a class that has a break?
No. Keep the class as one file with the break in it; only a recording over 10 hours needs to be split. The timestamps show where the class resumed, and the break counts toward your minutes like the rest of the file.
Is there a size limit?
Each file can last up to 10 hours or weigh up to 5 GB, with or without a pack. A recorded lecture on YouTube or Google Drive can be pasted as a link.
Which files do I get, and who sees the lecture?
You get TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so the class stays yours.
