Can I record my classes and transcribe them?
Only where the professor and the programme allow it. Transcribe the recordings you were given or allowed to make; a session that only streams in the browser cannot be pasted as a link. A phone recording of a class is the lightest file to upload from the classroom.
How big is a 4-hour class file?
As a 128 kbps MP3, 4 hours is 230.4 MB. As video at 3 Mbps it is 5.4 GB (375,000 bytes a second times 14,400 seconds), over the 5 GB per file, so upload the audio alone. Until a pack is on the account, an upload can be up to 2 GB. Keep the transcripts for your own study, as the programme's rules on recordings require.
Some sessions are in English. Is that a problem?
No. Spanish and English are among 99 languages detected automatically per recording, and a class that switches between them is detected on its main language with the switches handled. Guest lecturers who mix Spanish and English in one session come back as spoken.
Which downloads are there, and is the session private?
DOCX to study from, TXT, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so case material discussed in class stays in your account. You can delete a session and its transcript whenever you like.
