Transcribe church service recordings in Ireland every Sunday, without retyping the homily.
A church service recorded in Ireland usually runs 90 to 120 minutes, and a 90-minute service comes back as text in about 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a year of weekly 90-minute services, 4,680 minutes, fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
A service, put to use
The homily as text for the newsletter, and captions for the replay.
Ready before the tea is poured
At about 2 minutes per hour of audio, a 90-minute service is usually done in around three minutes. The parish volunteer who uploads it after the last hymn has the text before leaving the building.
Sermon, readings and notices apart
Chapters split the service where it changes: the readings, the homily or sermon, the prayers, the notices at the end. The brief summarises the homily's main point, so the bulletin paragraph is half written.
Fifty-two Sundays, one pack
A 90-minute service each week for a year is 78 hours, which is 4,680 minutes. That fits inside the $24 pack of 5,000 with a little to spare for a funeral or a special service. Credits do not expire if a week is missed.
A team that uploads every week
Where several people share the recording each week, the $19 a month Workspace keeps the services in one place for the whole team. A single volunteer is usually better served by a pack.
Why services go untranscribed
The recording goes online and the words stay locked in it.
✗ The stream and nothing else
A service recording sits on the parish stream with no text, no captions and no way to search past homilies.
- Typing out the homily by hand
- No captions for people who cannot hear the replay
- Past sermons impossible to search
- Notices repeated because nobody wrote them down
- Free tools that stop well before the homily
- Music sections confusing a typed copy
✓ Text every week
Each service comes back as text, chapters and captions from one upload.
- About 3 minutes per 90-minute service
- First 20 minutes free
- Chapters for readings, homily and notices
- Captions as SRT or VTT
- A year of services on the $24 pack
- Search every past homily by a word

FAQ
Church service recordings, the common questions.
How long does a service take to transcribe?
Roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 90-minute service takes about 3 minutes and a two-hour one about 4.
What does a year of services cost?
52 services of 90 minutes come to 4,680 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000. One service on its own is 90 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. All prices are in USD.
What happens to hymns and music?
Music and singing are not transcribed; the spoken parts are. The readings, homily, prayers and notices come through as text, and the timestamps carry on across the music.
How big can the recording be, and can I paste a link?
One file up to 10 hours or 5 GB; before the first pack, uploads up to 2 GB. A YouTube or Vimeo link to the service works without downloading. A Facebook Live replay has to be downloaded first and uploaded as a file.
Which languages are supported?
99 languages are detected automatically, so a service in English or another detected language needs no setting. A service that switches language is detected on its main language.
Which formats come back, and is the recording kept private?
TXT and DOCX for the bulletin, SRT and VTT for the replay, and JSON too. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
