90 to 120 minute services · every week · about 4 min for 2 h

Transcribe church service recordings in the UK every Sunday, without a typist.

A UK church service of 90 to 120 minutes comes back in about 3 to 4 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. The first 20 minutes are free, and thirteen 2-hour Sundays, a full quarter, come to 1,560 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers.

A service, week after week

The sermon becomes text before Sunday lunch is cleared away.

The livestream replay

If the service went out on YouTube, paste the replay link and nothing needs downloading. A recording from the sound desk or a phone uploads as a file. Hymns and organ music are not transcribed; the readings, prayers, notices and sermon are.

The sermon in its own chapter

Chapters with timestamps separate the welcome, the readings, the sermon and the notices, so the sermon can go straight into a newsletter or an archive page without the rest of the service around it.

A quarter, priced

One 2-hour service is 120 minutes. Thirteen of them make 1,560 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000. A 90-minute service every week for six months is 2,340 minutes and belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000. All of these are US dollar prices.

For a parish team

When several people upload each week, a $19/month Workspace keeps the services on one shared account. A single volunteer can keep buying packs instead, and no subscription is required.

Why services go untranscribed

Every week there is another recording, and nobody has a spare afternoon.

✗ Volunteers and good intentions

Typing a sermon by hand falls to whoever has time, and the archive falls behind within a month.

  • Hours of typing for one sermon
  • Hymns turned into nonsense by auto-captions
  • Livestreams too long for free tools
  • A backlog of unwritten weeks
  • No way to search past sermons
  • Captions missing for those who need them

✓ Each service, ready the same day

Upload or paste the link after the service and get the full text with chapters and a brief.

  • About 4 minutes per 2-hour service
  • 20 minutes free on your first visit
  • $12 for 2,000 minutes, no expiry
  • The preacher named in the summary
  • Music left out of the text
  • SRT captions for the video

00:02:15 Good morning and welcome, whether you are here in the building or watching online.
00:21:40 A reading from the Gospel of Luke, chapter fifteen, beginning at verse eleven.
00:34:05 The younger son rehearses his speech all the way home. What strikes me is that his father never lets him finish it.
00:58:22 So this week, think of one conversation you have been rehearsing, and have it.
01:42:30 The food bank collection is on Saturday morning, and the parish lunch is next Sunday after the service.

FAQ

Services in UK churches, answered.

How long does a 2-hour service take?

About 4 minutes. A 90-minute service is ready in roughly 3, and the transcript waits in your Library if you leave the page.

What does a quarter of services cost?

A weekly 2-hour service is 120 minutes. Thirteen Sundays come to 1,560 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Credits never expire, so a pack bought at Easter still works at Christmas. Your first 20 minutes are free if you are new here.

Is the music transcribed?

No. Hymns, organ voluntaries and the worship band are left out. The spoken parts are what you get back: welcome, readings, prayers, sermon and notices.

Can I upload the whole service, or should I cut out the sermon?

Upload the whole service. One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB; before the first pack, up to 2 GB. The chapters find the sermon for you, so there is no need to trim it first.

Can the service be in Welsh or Polish?

99 languages are detected automatically, so a Welsh-language service, a Polish Mass or a Portuguese congregation's service needs no setting. A service that moves between languages is transcribed on its main language.

Which exports are there, and is the recording private?

Each service exports to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
