Multi-day events · one file per session · about 2 min per hour

Transcribe conference sessions recorded in Singapore before the closing reception.

Conference recordings from Singapore come back at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, and a two-day programme of 24 one-hour sessions is 1,440 minutes, which one $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers. Upload one file per session or paste a Google Drive folder link, and use the first 20 minutes free to check a session before you buy.

How an event's recordings come in

Dozens of sessions, each its own transcript, all on one account.

A transcript for every session

Most events record each talk or panel as its own file, from 30 minutes for a short talk to two hours for a plenary. Keep them that way: each session becomes a separate transcript with its own title, brief and chapters, which is easier to publish than one long day.

Paste the Drive folder

If the AV team delivered the recordings to a Google Drive folder, share the folder and paste its link. Every audio and video file inside is brought in and queued, so nobody downloads forty files only to upload them again.

Two days of sessions, priced

Twenty-four one-hour sessions add up to 1,440 minutes. The $12 pack holds 2,000, which leaves room for the keynotes that ran over. A single day of eight sessions is 480 minutes and fits the $6 pack of 500. Prices are in US dollars.

The four working languages

English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil are among the 99 languages detected automatically, with no setting to choose. A session that switches language is transcribed on its main language, so a long stretch in a second language is worth a quick read.

Why event recordings sit unused

The sessions were filmed. Nobody has time to watch them back.

✗ The usual after-event backlog

Recordings arrive weeks later as a folder of files, and turning each one into a write-up becomes somebody's spare-time job.

  • Forty files to download and re-upload
  • Upload caps that stop at one session
  • Panels where nobody noted the speakers
  • Session summaries written from memory
  • No timestamps for the highlight reel
  • Per-seat plans for a once-a-year task

✓ Every session, searchable

Each recording becomes a transcript with a brief, chapters and the names and figures mentioned on stage.

  • About 2 minutes per session hour
  • A Drive folder link brings in the lot
  • The first 20 minutes free to check
  • $12 for 2,000 minutes, no subscription
  • Panellists named in the summary and quotes
  • SRT and VTT to caption the session videos

00:02:10 Welcome back after the break. We have forty minutes with this panel and I will keep ten for questions from the floor.
00:11:35 The pilot ran across three sites for six months. Waiting times fell at two of them, and the third had a staffing gap we did not plan for.
00:24:02 If I could change one thing, it would be agreeing the data format before the first site goes live, not after.
00:41:48 You mentioned six months. Is there a plan to publish the full results, and when?
00:47:20 Thank you all. The slides will sit with the session recording on the event page next week.

FAQ

Conference recordings in Singapore, answered.

How long does a conference session take to transcribe?

About 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a one-hour panel is ready in roughly 2 minutes and a three-hour plenary in about 6. Several sessions can be queued at once, and each finished transcript waits in your Library.

What does a two-day conference cost?

Count the recorded minutes. Twenty-four hours of sessions is 1,440 minutes, which goes on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Credits never expire, so whatever is left carries over to the next event. New visitors can try the first 20 minutes free.

Should I upload each session separately or the whole day?

Separately, if the files came that way, because each session then gets its own brief and chapters. A single file can hold up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a full room recording also works in one piece. Before the first pack, files up to 2 GB upload; a bigger one starts once a pack is on the account.

Which languages are detected for events in Singapore?

99 languages are detected automatically, English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil among them. A session that switches language is transcribed on its main language. Walk-in music and applause are left out; the speech is what gets transcribed.

Can I paste a YouTube link for a streamed session?

Yes. YouTube videos and live replays, Vimeo links and Google Drive share links and folders all go in as links, with no upload. A YouTube live replay longer than 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account.

Which exports are there, and where does the audio go?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON come from every transcript. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. You can delete a session and its transcript whenever you choose.
