Transcribe an English church service in Spain for the members who are not in the pew.
A 90-minute English-language church service recorded in Spain is transcribed in about 3 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.
For church media volunteers
Many members spend half the year elsewhere. The sermon can follow them in writing.
The sermon as a written piece
The brief states the sermon's main point and takeaways, a ready starting point for the newsletter or the email that goes to members who are back home for the season.
Readings and notices, findable
Chapters separate the welcome, the readings, the sermon, the prayers and the notices. Bible references and the dates of coming events are listed with timestamps.
Captions for the replay
Download SRT or VTT for the livestream recording so members watching on a phone without sound can follow. The hymns carry no captions because music is not transcribed.
The livestream link is enough
If the service went out on YouTube, paste the replay link and nothing needs to be uploaded. A larger camera file goes through the upload page.
Why sermons fade by midweek
The service is streamed once, watched by a few, and the message stays inside a video.
✗ A video and nothing else
The replay sits on the channel, and members who missed Sunday rarely sit through ninety minutes to hear the sermon.
- No text for the newsletter or website
- Volunteers summarising sermons from memory
- Readings impossible to find in the video
- Captions skipped for lack of time
- Members abroad out of the loop
- A camera file too large to share
✓ A transcript every Sunday
Upload after the service and the text is ready before coffee on the terrace finishes.
- About 3 minutes per 90-minute service
- Chapters from welcome to blessing
- The minister and guest preachers named in the summary
- Scripture and notice dates listed
- Captions for the livestream replay
- A quarter of Sundays on the $18 pack
Sample output
A Sunday morning service, readings to blessing.
An invented excerpt for illustration only, in English with a closing line in Spanish; no real church or minister is quoted. 'Id en paz' means 'go in peace'.

FAQ
English church services in Spain, answered.
How long does a 90-minute service take?
About 3 minutes. A 2-hour service with a long time of worship takes about 4, though the singing itself leaves a gap in the text.
What does a month, a quarter or a year of services cost?
Five 90-minute Sundays, 450 minutes, fit the $18 pack of 3,000 minutes. Thirteen services, 1,170 minutes, fit the $18 pack of 3,000. A full year of 52 Sundays at 90 minutes, 4,680 minutes, fits the $32 pack of 6,000, bought once, with no renewal.
What happens to the hymns and the organ?
The organ, the hymns, other sound effects and any crowd noise are left out; only speech is transcribed. Readings, prayers said aloud, the sermon and the notices come through as text.
Part of the service is in Spanish. Will it come through?
The recording is detected on its main language, English here, and English terms are handled as usual. A Spanish greeting or a short reading sits inside the English recording, so check those lines when you edit; a service held mainly in Spanish is better uploaded as its own file.
Our camera file is several gigabytes. Is that a problem?
A video at 5 Mbps is about 2.25 GB per hour, so a 90-minute service is near 3.4 GB. That is within the 5 GB per-file limit, so it uploads with or without a pack. Pasting the YouTube replay avoids the upload.
Who is named, and is the recording private?
The minister, readers and guest preachers introduced by name are identified in the summary, key quotes and chapters. The service is transcribed on our own servers and never used for training, which matters when prayer requests are read aloud.
