Transcribe hagwon class recordings in Korean, a whole evening class at a time.
A hagwon (학원) class of 2 to 3 hours that you recorded comes back as Korean text in about 4 to 6 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free. Two 3-hour classes, 360 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes, priced in US dollars, and Korean is detected with no setting to choose.
For students who record the class
The teacher explains a problem once. The transcript lets you read it as many times as you need.
Your own phone recording
Students usually record with a phone's voice memo app, which saves an m4a or mp3 file. Ask the teacher before recording, then upload the file after class; a 3-hour voice memo is typically under 200 MB, far below the 2 GB limit before a first pack.
Notes by problem and topic
Chapters split the evening into the explanation, each worked problem and the review at the end, each with a timestamp. The brief collects the formulas, grammar points or dates the teacher stressed, which is where most test questions come from.
A month of classes, counted
Three 2.5-hour classes a week for four weeks make 1,800 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000. One class a week for a month is 600 minutes, just past the $6 pack, so the $12 pack covers it with room to spare.
Ask where it was explained
Type a question into the chat in Korean or English, such as where the teacher explained a particular type of problem, and it answers from the class with the minute. Replaying three hours at night to find one explanation is no longer the only option. upload page
Why recorded classes stay on the phone
Three hours of explanation on your phone, and no time to listen again.
✗ A phone full of voice memos
Recording every class feels safe, but after a week of evenings there are ten hours of audio and no way into it. Finding the one explanation you missed means scrubbing through recordings on the bus.
- Hours of voice memos with no index
- Notes that stopped when the pace picked up
- Explanations you cannot find again
- Board work without the reasoning
- Revision the night before from memory
- Apps that refuse a recording past one hour
✓ Classes you can read
Each recording becomes a Korean transcript with chapters and a short brief. Over a term those files become a set of notes in the teacher's own words, searchable before every test.
- About 6 minutes for a 3-hour class
- Teacher named in the summary and quotes
- Chapters by problem or topic
- Key terms and formulas collected
- Chat in Korean or English
- DOCX or TXT for a study notebook

FAQ
Hagwon class recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 3-hour hagwon class take?
Roughly 6 minutes, with transcription running near 2 minutes per audio hour. A 2-hour class takes about 4, so the transcript is ready before you get home.
What does a month of classes cost?
Two 3-hour classes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A month of three 2.5-hour classes a week is 1,800 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000. Prices are in US dollars, and credits never expire between terms.
Is it all right to record my hagwon class?
Ask the teacher first; many allow it for personal study. Use the recording and the transcript for your own revision, and do not share the teacher's material onward.
Does it handle Korean with English terms mixed in?
The main language, Korean, is picked up on its own. English words a teacher uses in passing, such as grammar terms in an English class, may come back in Hangul or in Latin letters, so check the ones that matter for a test.
My recorder split the class into two files; does that matter?
No. Upload both; each file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and each transcript keeps timestamps that match its own audio.
Which files can I export, and who sees my class?
TXT and DOCX for notes, SRT and VTT for subtitles, JSON for apps. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete a class and its text whenever you like.
