Transcribe a Hindi community meeting Hinglish and all, in one transcript.

A 2-hour community meeting held in Hindi in the United States is transcribed in about 4 minutes, with Hindi detected automatically and the English words people drop into every sentence handled in the same pass. The first 20 minutes are free, and eight planning meetings of 2 hours, 960 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.

For the committee secretary

Festival planning runs on long calls where everyone talks at once. The transcript keeps track so the secretary does not have to.

Action items, not a wall of text

The brief lists decisions and who took which task, and chapters mark each agenda item: venue, food, sponsors, cultural program, volunteers.

Every quote from every vendor

Caterer quotes, hall deposits, ticket prices and deadlines mentioned on the call are listed with timestamps, so the treasurer checks one line instead of replaying an hour.

Members who joined late

A member who dialled in halfway reads the summary and catches up before the next call, without asking the group to repeat everything.

Zoom recordings straight in

A Zoom cloud recording or a phone voice memo uploads here; a long video over 500 MB continues on the upload page.

How planning calls go

Ninety people in the group chat, twelve on the call, and one person writing notes.

✗ Notes on a phone

The secretary types while also talking, half the decisions are made in Hinglish shorthand, and the next call reopens settled questions.

  • Minutes missing half the decisions
  • Tasks nobody remembers taking
  • Tools that choke on Hindi and English mixed
  • Vendor quotes lost in the call
  • Late joiners asking for a recap
  • Recordings that never get replayed

✓ Notes from the transcript

Upload the recording after the call and send the summary the same night.

  • The whole call as text
  • Chapters at each agenda item
  • Prices, deposits and dates listed
  • Members named in the summary
  • A recap to post in the group
  • A season of calls on the $12 pack

Sample output

A festival committee call in Hindi, with English mixed in.

Illustrative lines written for this page; no real association, temple or member is quoted. In English: OK everyone, let's start, the first item is the venue for the festival; the hall has given a quote, the deposit is due next Friday; the food committee will finalise the menu; and a question in English about the volunteer sign-up form.

FAQ

Hindi community meetings, answered.

How long does a 2-hour meeting take?

About 4 minutes. A 90-minute call takes about 3, since processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio.

We speak Hinglish. Will the transcript be a mess?

No. The meeting is detected on its main language, Hindi, and the English words and sentences inside it are handled in the same pass. Words like venue, deposit or sponsor stay in the transcript where they were said, so the meaning of each sentence holds. If a call is mostly English with some Hindi, it is detected as English instead.

What does a season of planning cost?

Eight 2-hour planning meetings are 960 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, with room for the post-event review. Four meetings, 480 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, and credits never expire.

Can we get the text in Urdu script or in Roman letters?

The transcript is written as the speech is detected, so Hindi comes back in Devanagari. Members who read Hindi slowly can ask the chat over the transcript about the meeting in English instead.

Does the summary say which member took each task?

Speakers are identified and named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters, so tasks can be traced to the person who agreed to them. The transcript reads as running text, without a name at the start of every line.

What do we download, and is the call private?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so donors' names and budget talk stay with the committee.
