Turn a long lecture recording into notes with chapters as your headings.
To turn a long lecture recording into notes, upload it whole: a 3-hour lecture comes back in about 6 minutes as a timestamped transcript plus a brief with the thesis and takeaways, chapters per topic, and the names, numbers and dates the lecturer said. One file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, the first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers two full 3-hour lectures with room left.
From recording to study notes
The lecture's structure, recovered from the audio.
Chapters become your outline
The recording is split into chapters at the points where the topic changes, each with its start time. Copy the chapter list into your notes as headings, then fill each section from the brief and the transcript beneath it, and the skeleton of the lecture is done before you have reread a word.
Figures and definitions, with their minute
Lecturers say the numbers that matter once, often quickly. The names, numbers and dates spoken in the lecture come back as their own list, and every line of the transcript carries a timestamp, so you can return to the audio at that minute and check a formula or a date.
Ask the lecture a question
The chat works over the full transcript. Ask what the lecturer said about a topic, which example illustrated a point, or what was announced about the next assessment, and the answer points to where it was said. It is a quick way to check what you missed while writing.
Where long lectures come from
A phone left on the desk, a course video downloaded from the learning platform, or a YouTube link to a recorded class all work. Links need no upload at all; paste them and the audio is fetched for you. A recorded double session simply goes up as one long file.
Making notes from a recording by hand
Rewatching three hours to write notes takes longer than the lecture.
✗ Notes the slow way
Pausing a long recording every few minutes turns one lecture into an evening.
- Pausing and rewinding to copy a definition
- No sense of the lecture's structure until the end
- Figures misheard at 1.5x speed
- Free tools that cut off at a short limit
- Captions copied out of a video player
- Notes with no way back to the audio
✓ Notes from the transcript
The structure, the figures and the full text arrive together.
- About 6 minutes for a 3-hour lecture
- Chapters per topic with start times
- Names, numbers and dates listed
- Speakers named in the summary, quotes and chapters
- A chat for what you missed
- DOCX and TXT to edit into notes

FAQ
Lecture recordings to notes, answered.
Can it turn a lecture recording into notes directly?
It gives you the parts notes are made of: a brief with the thesis and takeaways, chapters per topic with timestamps, the names, numbers and dates said, and the full transcript. Export DOCX and shape those into your own notes in your own words.
How long does a 3-hour lecture take?
About 6 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 90-minute class is ready in about 3.
What would a whole course of lectures cost?
A course of 14 weeks at 3 hours a week is 42 hours, or 2,520 minutes, which belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes with room for a second course. A single lecture fits easily in the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
The class video is large. Must I cut it?
No. The ceiling per file is 10 hours or 5 GB. Before the first pack, uploads stop at 2 GB, so a large video either starts after a pack or goes up as an audio-only export, which is far smaller.
What if the lecture is not in English?
99 languages are detected automatically, so a lecture in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese or Korean needs no setting. A lecture that switches languages is detected on its main language, and English and Tagalog mixed in one class is handled.
Which formats can I download, and is the recording private?
You can download TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON, all from one run. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete a lecture and its transcript once the exam is over if you prefer.
