Transcribe long podcast episodes in Australia straight from the feed.

A long-form Australian podcast episode of 2 to 4 hours comes back as text in about 4 to 8 minutes; paste the RSS feed or episode link and nothing needs uploading. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes holds roughly two and a half three-hour episodes.

What a long episode gives you

Three hours of conversation, turned into show notes you would have written anyway.

Straight from the feed

Paste the podcast's RSS feed or a single episode link and the audio is fetched from your host; nothing is downloaded to your laptop first. A video episode on YouTube works the same way, and a raw session file can go through upload page.

Chapters for the show notes

Each change of topic becomes a timestamped chapter, which is most of the work of writing chapter markers for a podcast app. Edit the titles to match your voice and paste them into the episode description.

Everything mentioned, listed

Guests name books, studies, places, dates and dollar figures over three hours. Those come back as a list beside the transcript, so the links section of your show notes takes minutes instead of a second listen.

Quotes worth clipping

Key quotes are pulled out with their timestamps and the person who said them, so the producer can find the 40 seconds for a social post without scrubbing the waveform.

Why long episodes stay untranscribed

Most tools were built for a 30-minute show.

✗ Before, for a 3-hour episode

Long-form shows hit file limits and per-minute pricing that adds up quickly.

  • Upload caps well under three hours
  • Monthly plans priced for short shows
  • Exporting a WAV just to upload it
  • Writing chapters by ear
  • Show notes that forget the book title
  • A back catalogue nobody can search

✓ With the feed link

Each episode becomes text, chapters and a list of what was mentioned.

  • Six minutes or so for three hours
  • RSS, YouTube and file uploads
  • Single episodes to 10 hours or 5 GB
  • Hosts and guests named in summary and quotes
  • Chapters ready for podcast apps
  • Credits that stay until used

Sample

A long-form interview episode, as it comes back.

Treat this sample as illustrative: it was made up for the page and comes from no show. Labels mark parts of the episode rather than people.

00:00:08 Before we start, I should say I was completely wrong about this when we spoke two years ago.
00:03:30 Welcome back. Today is a long one, so get comfortable. My guest spent eleven years working on the same stretch of coastline.
01:24:52 The number people quote is from a single survey in 2009. Nobody has gone back and measured it properly since.
02:41:17 Someone asked whether you would do it again. Honestly, yes, but I would start with the funding, not the fieldwork.
03:02:44 That is the show. Links to everything we mentioned are in the notes.

FAQ

Long podcast episodes, the common questions.

How long does a 3-hour episode take?

Six minutes is typical. A 2-hour episode is closer to 4, and a 4-hour marathon about 8. The public proof page shows a 2.48-hour file processed in 200 seconds.

What does a month of episodes cost?

Four three-hour episodes is 720 minutes, so the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers that month and most of the next. A single episode fits easily in the $6 pack of 500 minutes. For a back catalogue of a hundred 2.5-hour episodes, 15,000 minutes, you would buy three $24 packs. Every price here is in US dollars.

Can I paste my RSS feed?

Yes. Paste the feed or an episode link and pick the episode; the audio is fetched from your host. YouTube links, including live replays, also work, and files can be uploaded up to 2 GB before the first pack and 5 GB after.

Is there a length limit per episode?

The ceiling is 10 hours or 5 GB a file, whichever is hit first. Very few podcast episodes reach that, and anything longer can be split into two files.

Are my hosts and guests identified?

Yes, they are identified and named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters. Episodes in any of 99 languages are detected automatically, and background music beds are left out because only speech is transcribed.

Which exports do I get, and is the audio private?

TXT and DOCX for show notes, SRT and VTT for the video version, JSON for your site. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
