Transcribe Amazon Chime recordings that were saved before the app went quiet.
A saved Amazon Chime meeting recording uploads here as a file, and a 2-hour meeting comes back as searchable text in about 4 minutes; one file can run to 10 hours or 5 GB. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers that meeting with 380 minutes to spare.
Chime meetings, kept as text
AWS announced the end of Amazon Chime. The meetings in those files still matter.
Files that outlived the app
AWS announced the end of Amazon Chime, so the long engineering reviews and vendor calls worth keeping are the files someone downloaded. Turning them into text means nobody has to keep a video player around to find one decision.
Two Chime hours, four minutes of processing
The speed is about 2 minutes for each hour of meeting audio. A 3-hour architecture review is ready in about 6 minutes, and you can close the tab while it works.
Drop the file on {upload_page}
A saved Chime recording is usually an MP4. Before the first pack, uploads up to 2 GB go straight in; a larger file starts once a pack is on the account. If a team archive is on Google Drive, paste the share link instead of downloading.
Search across the archive
Each recording gets a brief with takeaways, chapters with timestamps and a chat over the text. Ask which meeting agreed the migration date and the answer comes back with the minute it was said.
Before and after
An archive of Chime videos is a pile of hours nobody will rewatch.
✗ Video files in a shared folder
Names like meeting_0412.mp4, no notes, and the person who ran the call has moved teams.
- Scrubbing through two hours for one number
- Nothing showing which team signed off on the change
- Notes written days later from memory
- A tool that needs a live bot in a call that no longer exists
- Per-month plans for a one-off archive job
- Files too big for audio-only upload limits
✓ Chime meetings you can search
Each saved meeting becomes a document with its decisions pulled to the top.
- A 2-hour Chime meeting ready in about 4 minutes
- First 20 minutes free
- $6 buys 500 minutes for the Chime archive
- Dates, figures and names said aloud, pulled out
- Every Chime participant named in brief and quotes
- DOCX for the wiki, SRT for the video

FAQ
Amazon Chime recordings, answered.
How long does a Chime recording take?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 2-hour meeting is ready in about 4 minutes and a 5-hour workshop in about 10. The finished text waits in your Library if you leave.
What does a 2-hour Chime meeting cost?
It uses 120 minutes. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free; the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest and leaves at least 380, enough for three more meetings of the same length. An archive of 40 such meetings is 4,800 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000.
How big can the file be, and do I need to split it?
One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever comes first, so a full-day session usually goes in whole. Only a recording longer than 10 hours needs to become two files.
Do you connect to my Chime account?
No. There is no integration and no bot; WhipScribe works on the recording file after the meeting. Download or locate the saved file, then upload it here.
Our meetings mixed English and Japanese. Will that work?
99 languages are detected automatically, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Portuguese among them. A recording that switches language is detected on its main language, so a meeting held mostly in one language gives the cleanest result.
Which exports, and what happens to the file?
One upload gives TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
