A network, show by show

Networks publish many shows. The transcripts should all live in one place.

Public feeds and private ones

A show distributed to podcast apps has a public feed address; paste it, pick the episode and the audio is fetched. Subscriber-only or private feeds need a login we do not have, so for those, export the episode file from your production workflow and upload it.

Which file to send

Episodes are usually published as MP3. If you have the edited master, often a WAV, it uploads too: a 3-hour WAV is roughly 2 GB at CD quality, well inside the 5 GB one file can be, and anything heavier can be split. The 5 GB and 10-hour ceiling applies per file.

A network month, added up

Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

Text producers can reuse

Each episode returns a brief with takeaways, chapters for the episode description, the hosts and guests named in the summary and quotes, and the figures and dates said. The chat finds the episode where a topic came up, which helps when several shows cover the same story. Start with one file on upload page.

Many shows, no shared text

Each show's producer has a different workaround for transcripts.

✗ Show by show

Transcripts handled differently for every show.

  • Episode notes typed after each release
  • Different tools on different shows
  • Monthly plans that a network outgrows
  • A 25 MB upload limit on the Whisper API
  • Chapters timed by ear
  • No search across the network's archive

✓ One account for the network

Every show's episodes read as text.

  • Paste each show's feed
  • About 6 minutes for a 3-hour episode
  • Chapters for every description
  • Guests named in the summary
  • Credits that never expire
  • Packs from $4 for 300 minutes

FAQ

ART19 episodes, answered.

Can I paste the ART19 feed?

Yes, when the show's feed is public. Paste it, choose the episode, and the audio is fetched. A private or subscriber feed needs a login, so upload the episode file instead. Producers on different shows can work from the same account, and every transcript stays listed there until someone deletes it.

How long does a 3-hour episode take?

About 6 minutes, at close to 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 50-minute episode takes under 2 minutes. A dynamically inserted ad in a fetched episode is speech, so it may appear in the text; trim it from the export if you publish the transcript.

What does a network month cost?

Five shows of four 50-minute episodes are 1,000 minutes a month. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire. Prices are in US dollars and each pack is a single payment.

Can several shows share one balance?

Yes. Credits sit on your WhipScribe account, never expire, and are spent by any recording you send, whichever show it belongs to.

Is there an ART19 integration?

No. There is no integration, plugin or sign-in, and nothing changes in your ART19 account. We read public feeds and the files you upload.

Which languages and exports, and is it private?

99 languages, detected automatically per episode. Exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Episodes are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training.
