Transcribe long productions recorded on a Blackmagic ATEM Mini from the program file on the drive.
The Pro and ISO models of the ATEM Mini can record a production to a USB drive, usually as MP4 files, and the program recording carries the mixed audio of every microphone, so that is the file to upload, up to 10 hours or 5 GB. A 6-hour conference day comes back in about 12 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free and 340 more on the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
Which file to send
A switcher can write a file per camera. The transcript only needs the one with the mixed sound.
The program recording
On the Pro and ISO models, the recording on the USB drive holds the switched output with the mix from the audio mixer, so upload that one. The base ATEM Mini relies on a computer to record, so look in the capture app you used, and check your model's manual if unsure.
ISO files are not the mix
ISO models also save each input on its own, plus a project file for DaVinci Resolve. A single camera's file may carry only that input's sound, so listen to its audio before sending it.
Or the stream
If the switcher streamed to YouTube or Vimeo, paste the replay link and skip the drive altogether. A stream that went to another platform can be downloaded and uploaded the usual way.
Size of a long show
At 10 Mbps an hour is 10 × 3,600 ÷ 8 = 4,500 MB, so 6 hours is about 27 GB. Export the program audio as an MP3 at 128 kbps, about 346 MB for the day, and send that.

ATEM Mini recordings: what producers ask.
Does WhipScribe plug into the ATEM software?
No. There is no plugin or connection to Blackmagic's software or hardware; you upload the recording, or paste the stream link, and WhipScribe works from that.
How long does a 6-hour production take?
About 12 minutes; the rule is roughly 2 minutes for each audio hour. A 45-minute keynote on its own is done in under 2.
What does a conference cost?

Can we upload each camera's ISO file?
You can, and each one is transcribed on its own, but the program recording is usually the better choice because it carries the full audio mix. Uploading every angle of one session spends minutes on the same words, so keep the ISO files for the edit and send the mix for text.
Which formats come back, and where is the audio processed?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, with the language detected automatically among 99. Productions are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
