Transcribe long Brightcove videos town halls, trainings and webinars.
A long Brightcove video becomes text once the account owner downloads the source file and uploads it here: a 90-minute town hall takes about 3 minutes, and each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB. The first 20 minutes are free, and 90 minutes uses less than a fifth of the $6 pack.
Enterprise video, read as text
Hours of internal video, each one turned into a document people can search.
Who downloads the file
Brightcove is enterprise video hosting, so the person with access to the account is the one who can download a video. If the original was kept, it is the best copy to send; otherwise a rendition works too. Either is usually an MP4. Only transcribe videos you have the right to use.
No integration, just the file
There is no Brightcove connector, plugin or bot on our side. You download the recording, upload it here, and the transcript is ready a few minutes later. A video that is also published to YouTube or Vimeo can go in as a link instead.
A training library in numbers
Twenty training videos of 75 minutes each total 1,500 minutes. That fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 500 left, at $0.36 an audio hour. A single town hall fits the $6 pack, and a larger library fits the $24 pack.
What staff can do with it
Each video comes back with a brief of the main points, chapters with timestamps, and the names, numbers and dates that were said. Staff can ask the chat what the town hall said about a policy, and the captions export as SRT or VTT.
Long corporate video elsewhere
A 90-minute town hall is easy to record and hard to search.

FAQ
Brightcove videos, the questions people ask.
How long does a 90-minute Brightcove video take?
About 3 minutes, since the work runs at around 2 minutes per hour of audio, whatever the video's resolution. A 3-hour all-hands takes around 6 minutes.
What does a whole library cost?
A new visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, enough to judge the text on the opening of the meeting. One 90-minute video fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Twenty 75-minute trainings come to 1,500 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Past 2,000 minutes, buy the $24 pack of 5,000.
How large can the source file be?
Up to 5 GB or 10 hours, whichever comes first. Before a pack is on the account, files up to 2 GB upload; a larger source file starts once you have a pack. A rendition is often much smaller than the original and transcribes just as well.
Do I need to cut a long event into sessions?
Only if the event runs longer than 10 hours, which a working day of sessions rarely does. A full day of sessions under that length goes up as one file; split anything longer into two.
What about videos in other languages?
The language is detected automatically from 99, with no setting to change, which suits a company whose offices record in several languages. Product names and acronyms come through as spoken, so check the brief for the spelling your team uses. A video that moves between languages is transcribed on its main one.
Which exports are there, and where does the video go?
Every video returns TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Internal recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, which matters when a town hall covers unreleased plans. A team that records every week can use the $19/month Workspace instead of packs.
