A 2-hour-45-minute Captivate interview is transcribed in about 5 to 6 minutes when you paste the show's RSS link and pick the episode. The first 20 minutes are free, and a 12-episode season of that length, 1,980 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.

Long interviews

Two guests, three hours, and every quote you want to use later.

The RSS link

A show hosted on Captivate publishes an RSS feed for the directories. Paste that link here and choose the episode; the audio is fetched on our side, with nothing to download, and there is no plugin or login involved. For a raw interview that never aired, upload the recording file from your own drive instead.

Nothing to cut

Interview shows often run two to three hours, and each one stays a single recording here. An uploaded file can go to 10 hours or 5 GB, and up to 2 GB uploads before you buy anything. A remote interview recorded as one combined track works as well as a studio mix, as long as both voices are clear.

A season, priced

Twelve interviews of 165 minutes total 1,980 minutes. The $12 pack of 2,000 minutes holds the whole season with 20 to spare, at $0.36 an audio hour. One interview on its own fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes, with 335 left.

Quotes and chapters

The guest and host are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the strongest lines are pulled out with their timestamps. The brief gives the thesis, and the chat answers a question like where the guest described their first job. That turns a long conversation into a set of clips you can plan from text.

Interviews elsewhere

A long interview is full of quotable moments that are slow to find by ear.

✗ Without a transcript

Re-listening for quotes and timing each one by hand.

  • Clips chosen from memory
  • Guest quotes typed out by ear
  • No Whisper API upload above 25 MB
  • Short free trials ending mid-interview
  • Long WAV masters too big to send
  • Episode notes that skip the last hour

✓ From the RSS link

The full interview, quotes and chapters included.

  • Paste the link, pick the episode
  • About 5 to 6 minutes for 165 minutes
  • Key quotes with timestamps
  • Chapters for the interview's show notes
  • Captions for the interview on video
  • A whole season on the $12 pack

FAQ

Captivate episodes: what to know.

How long does a 165-minute Captivate interview take?

About 5 to 6 minutes; audio is processed at near 2 minutes an hour. A 2.48-hour file on /proof/long-files was done in 200 seconds, for scale.

What does a full season cost?

First-time visitors get 20 minutes free. Twelve 165-minute interviews make 1,980 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers. A single episode goes on the $6 pack of 500.

Is there a Captivate integration?

No. WhipScribe does not connect to Captivate and has no bot or app there. It reads the public RSS feed or a file you upload, after the interview is recorded. Your hosting setup and feed stay as they are.

Can I send the raw recording instead?

Yes. Upload the raw file, up to 10 hours or 5 GB. A file larger than 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account; if the upload refuses the format, convert it to MP3 first.

What languages can interviews be in?

The interview's language is detected automatically, from 99. An interview that switches between English and Portuguese is detected on its main language, and the switches are handled.

Which exports, and is the interview private?

The interview exports to TXT, DOCX, SRT and VTT, with JSON for developers. Interviews are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training, and you can delete a file and its text at any time.
