Transcribe Ensemble Video recordings the long evening class included.
An Ensemble Video lecture capture transcribes once the file is downloaded (where the owner allows it) and uploaded here, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 3-hour evening class is ready in about 6 minutes. A 14-week course of such classes is 2,520 minutes, which takes the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free.
From lecture capture to a document
Lecture capture records the whole evening. The transcript makes the evening usable.
Getting a capture out
Whether a recording in Ensemble Video can be downloaded is set by its owner or the media library's administrator. Where downloads are allowed, the file is usually an MP4; otherwise ask the instructor or the media team. WhipScribe has no Ensemble Video integration and is not a plugin in your course platform; it works on the file you upload.
When a capture is over 2 GB
A three-hour capture with screen and camera at high resolution can pass 2 GB. Until the first pack, the upload ceiling is 2 GB; anything heavier starts once a pack is on the account. Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so even a full-day workshop capture usually goes up whole.
A course of evening classes
Fourteen weekly classes of 3 hours make 2,520 minutes. That is above the $12 pack's 2,000, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes is the fit, with 2,480 minutes left for another course. One 3-hour class, 180 minutes, fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Upload each capture on upload page.
What each class returns
Each capture comes back with a brief of the session, chapters with timestamps at each topic, the terms, names, numbers and dates said, and the questions it answers. The chat over the transcript finds the part where an example was worked through. The instructor and students who speak are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.
Three hours of capture

FAQ
Ensemble Video recordings, answered.
Can I paste an Ensemble Video link?
No. Media library links need your campus sign-in. Download the file where allowed, or paste a YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive link if the class was shared there.
How long does a 3-hour class take?
About 6 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. The proof page shows 9.31 hours done in 1,033 seconds.
What does a course cost?
On your first visit the first 20 minutes are free: a short recording transcribes in full, and a 3-hour class is previewed until a pack from $6 transcribes the rest. One class fits the $6 pack; fourteen classes, 2,520 minutes, fit the $24 pack. Credits never expire.
My capture is 2.8 GB. Will it upload?
Yes, once a pack is on the account; before that, uploads go up to 2 GB. Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and a capture longer than 10 hours goes up as two files.
Does it handle technical vocabulary and other languages?
99 languages are detected automatically, and the terms an instructor says are kept in the transcript. A class that switches language is detected on its main one. Music played in class and room noise are not transcribed; the speech is.
Exports and privacy?
Each class exports as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Captures are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training.
