Transcribe Warpwire recordings from the campus video library.
A Warpwire recording transcribes once its file is downloaded (where the owner allows downloads) and uploaded here, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 90-minute seminar comes back in about 3 minutes. A department series of 20 such seminars is 1,800 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, after the first 20 minutes free.
From the media library to text
A campus library holds years of talks. Text is what makes them findable.
Getting the file
Whether a Warpwire item can be downloaded is a setting its owner or library administrator controls. When downloads are on, the file is usually an MP4; when they are off, ask the person who uploaded it. Owners can download their own media directly. WhipScribe has no Warpwire integration and is not a plugin in your learning platform; it transcribes the file you give it.
Seminars, guest talks and events
Departments use a video library for recorded seminars, visiting speakers and campus events. Upload each recording separately so it keeps its own chapters and timeline. A talk that was also posted to YouTube or Vimeo can be pasted as a link instead.
Pricing a seminar series
Twenty seminars of 90 minutes are 1,800 minutes, within the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, leaving 200. Processing takes about 2 minutes per audio hour, so the 30 hours of the series finish in roughly 60 minutes. A single seminar fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Upload them on upload page.
Text for the archive
Each recording comes back with a brief, chapters with timestamps, the questions the talk answers, and the names, numbers and dates said. Speakers come back identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. SRT and VTT exports serve as captions, and the DOCX becomes a searchable record next to the video.
An archive of video
The seminar series is preserved. It is not searchable.

FAQ
Warpwire recordings, answered.
Can I paste a Warpwire link?
No. Library links sit behind your campus sign-in, so WhipScribe cannot open them. Download the file where permitted, or paste a YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive link where the recording also lives.
Why is there no download option?
Downloads are switched on or off per item or library by its owner or administrator. Ask them for the file.
How long does a series take?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio: a 90-minute seminar in about 3 minutes, and 1,800 minutes of seminars in about an hour.
What will a seminar series cost?
The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor; a longer recording is previewed, and a pack from $6 completes it from where the preview ended. One seminar fits the $6 pack, and the 20-seminar series fits the $12 pack. Packs are one-time and never expire.
Are there size limits?
Each file may be up to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a heavier event video starts once a pack is on the account.
Exports and privacy?
Seminars export as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON for the archive. Library recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
