Find the file, send the file

The microphones are tiny. The recording they made is wherever the receiver was plugged in.

Which file has the interview

The Lark M2 receiver plugs into a camera or a phone, so the sound usually ends up inside that device's video or audio file. Whether a transmitter also keeps its own copy depends on the version you own, so check Hollyland's manual for your kit before looking for one.

From a phone

Phones usually save video as MP4 or MOV. Open this page in the phone's browser and pick the file from your gallery or files, or put it in Google Drive and paste the share link. Long phone videos can be several gigabytes; a file bigger than this box takes continues on the main upload page.

From a camera

Copy the clip from the camera's card with a reader. A long sit-down interview filmed in high resolution can pass 2 GB quickly, which is the limit before a first pack. Exporting the audio track alone, or a small MP3, keeps the upload light and the transcript the same.

What the edit gets back

The interview returns with a brief, chapters with timestamps, and the names, places and numbers mentioned. The guest and the interviewer are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so a quote can go straight onto the timeline, and SRT is ready for subtitles.

FAQ

Hollyland Lark M2 interviews: common questions

How long does a 2.5-hour interview take to transcribe?

About 5 minutes. A full 10-hour shoot day would take about 20.

What does a series of interviews cost?

A first visit includes 20 minutes free, and a longer interview is previewed before you buy. One 2.5-hour interview is 150 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Ten of them, 1,500 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 500 left for pickups.

Does the Lark M2 record on its own?

It depends on the model and version, and we would rather not guess for yours. If your transmitters keep a copy, upload that; if not, the camera or phone file is the recording to send.

Can I upload video, or only audio?

Both. Video is fine up to 5 GB a file once a pack is on the account, and 2 GB before. Audio alone is smaller and faster to upload, with the same transcript.

Do you link to the Hollyland app?

No. There is no Hollyland integration and no bot; you upload the file or paste a link to it. The interview can be in any of 99 languages, detected automatically. English terms said inside another language are handled as they are spoken.

Is the footage kept private?

Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training, and you can delete a file and its transcript whenever you like.
