Transcribe long Just Press Record recordings from your wrist or phone, hours at a time.
A long Just Press Record recording from an iPhone or Apple Watch can be uploaded here from iCloud Drive, and six hours of audio come back as text in about 12 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and those six hours use 360 of the 500 minutes in the $6 pack.
Synced, then transcribed
One tap started the recording; one upload turns it into text.
Where the file sits
Just Press Record syncs recordings through iCloud, so a take from the Watch shows up on the phone. In the Files app, look in iCloud Drive for the app's folder, or use the share button on the recording. The format follows the app's settings, usually M4A, so check them if unsure. Pick the file on upload page.
Six hours on one pack
A 6-hour recording is 360 minutes, which the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers with 140 to spare. Processing runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour; the public proof shows 4.94 hours finished in 372 seconds.
No link to the app
WhipScribe has no integration with Just Press Record and nothing runs on your Watch or phone. You choose a finished file and upload it, and the transcript is made from that file.
A long day, sorted into parts
Six hours of talk come back with chapters at each change of subject, a brief of what mattered, and every name, number and date said. Ask the chat when a topic came up and it gives the timestamp. That makes a long recording useful even if you only needed ten minutes of it.

FAQ
Just Press Record files, the common questions.
How long do six hours take to process?
Around 12 minutes, because every audio hour takes about 2 minutes. The longest public proof is 9.31 hours in 1,033 seconds.
What does a 6-hour recording cost?
The first 20 minutes are free when you first visit; a longer file is previewed, and a pack from $6 finishes it from where the preview stopped. Six hours are 360 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes at $0.72 an audio hour.
My Watch recording ran past 10 hours. How should I upload it?
Each file can run to 10 hours or 5 GB, so split anything longer into two files in an audio editor and upload both. Anything up to 10 hours goes as one file.
Is the M4A too large to upload?
Compressed audio is small; at 128 kbps an hour is about 58 MB, so six hours are near 350 MB. Files up to 2 GB upload before a pack, and up to 5 GB once one is on the account.
Can I record conversations with it?
Recording a conversation or a call needs the consent the law where you are requires, so ask everyone first. The audio can be in any of 99 languages, detected automatically.
Which formats come back, and who processes the audio?
Downloads cover TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON for the whole day. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training; deleting the recording removes its transcript too.
