Transcribe LearnDash lesson videos by pasting the video's own link.
LearnDash lessons usually embed a video hosted on Vimeo or YouTube, so pasting that video's link here returns a 100-minute lesson as text in under 4 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free. A 100-minute lesson uses 100 of the 500 minutes in a $6 pack, so five of them fit one pack, and a 25-hour course of 1,500 minutes fits the $12 pack of 2,000. WhipScribe is not a WordPress plugin and does not touch your site.
From embedded video to lesson text
The lesson page shows the player. The link behind it is what you paste.
Find the video's own link
A LearnDash lesson is a WordPress page with a video embedded from Vimeo or YouTube. Copy the link from the Vimeo or YouTube library where the video lives, not the lesson page's address, and paste it into upload page.
Private and restricted videos
Course videos are often private or limited to your site's domain so they only play inside the lesson. A link like that will not open from outside; as the owner, download the file from your video host and upload it, usually as an MP4.
Lessons hosted on your own server
If a lesson's video is a file in your WordPress media library, download it and upload it here. One file can run 10 hours or 5 GB, and files over 2 GB start once a pack is on the account.
A course worth of captions
Each lesson's transcript exports as SRT or VTT, timed to that video. Upload the captions to Vimeo or YouTube, where the embedded player can show them, and keep the DOCX as the lesson's written version.
Why course creators transcribe their lessons
Students search the course. A video cannot be searched.

FAQ
LearnDash lesson videos, answered.
How long does a 100-minute lesson take?
Under 4 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, counted from when the video is fetched from its link.
What does transcribing a course cost?
A 100-minute lesson uses 100 minutes, so the $6 pack of 500 covers five such lessons. A 25-hour course, 1,500 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000, and anything over 2,000 minutes goes on the $24 pack of 5,000. A first visit includes the first 20 minutes free.
The Vimeo link will not open. Why?
It is probably private or restricted to your domain. Download the original from your Vimeo or YouTube account and upload it; up to 2 GB before your first pack, up to 5 GB after.
Can a student transcribe the lessons?
Only lessons the creator lets them download, or videos whose links are public. A student transcribes what the course allows them to save.
Do lessons need splitting, and which languages work?
No splitting: one file or link can run up to 10 hours. 99 languages are detected automatically, so a lesson taught in Spanish or Tagalog comes back in that language.
What exports come back, and is the course content safe?
Lessons come back as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Lesson videos are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete them whenever you want.
