Transcribe a Lifesize meeting recording from the room to the minutes.
A Lifesize meeting recording of one to two hours is transcribed in about 2 to 4 minutes after you download the video and upload it here, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Four 90-minute leadership meetings a month come to 360 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500, and the first 20 minutes are free.
Meeting rooms on the record
The room camera caught the whole discussion. The minutes still say "see recording".
Where Lifesize keeps it
Lifesize recordings are typically kept in the organisation's recording library, where a viewer with the right permission can download the video. It is usually an MP4; if the download button is greyed out, the account administrator can share it or change the setting. Recording a meeting needs whatever consent the law where you are requires.
One room, many voices
A meeting-room microphone picks up everyone around the table, often from a distance, plus the remote participants through the speaker. The transcript follows the speech, the summary names the speakers it can tell apart, and the chapters mark each agenda item, so a secretary has a frame for the minutes.
The monthly arithmetic
Four leadership meetings of 90 minutes a month are 360 minutes, on the $6 pack of 500. A department recording about 30 hours a quarter reaches 1,800 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 covers.
Shared on Drive instead
If the recording was already copied to Google Drive, paste the share link and skip the download. Files above the browser's comfort go through the upload page, which resumes if the connection drops.
After the room empties
The meeting was recorded on purpose. Then the recording became the only record.

FAQ
Lifesize recordings, answered.
How quickly is a Lifesize meeting transcribed?
At about 2 minutes per hour of audio: a 45-minute stand-up in about 90 seconds, a 90-minute review in about 3 minutes, a 3-hour planning day in about 6.
Does WhipScribe join our Lifesize calls?
No. Nothing is installed in Lifesize and no bot dials into the room. You download the finished recording and upload the file; a Google Drive, YouTube or Vimeo link to the same recording also works. Because it only sees the file you choose, meetings you never upload stay where they are.
What does a busy quarter cost?
Thirty hours of meetings in a quarter is 1,800 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 covers. Sixty hours, 3,600 minutes, fits the $24 pack of 5,000. Packs are one-time purchases and the minutes never expire. Teams recording every week can also look at the $19/month Workspace.
Can it tell the people in the room apart?
The summary, key quotes and chapters name the speakers it can identify. How well depends on the room microphone: one far-off voice is harder than a close one. The transcript lines themselves carry the words without a name on each line.
Is there a file limit?
10 hours or 5 GB for each recording. Before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB; a bigger file starts as soon as a pack is on the account.
What about languages, exports and confidentiality?
99 languages are detected automatically, including meetings that switch between two. Download TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Board-level conversations stay on our own servers and are never used to train anything.
