Transcribe a Pexip meeting recording once IT hands you the file.
A Pexip meeting recording is transcribed at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 4-hour workshop is text in about 8 minutes once the file is uploaded here, up to 10 hours or 5 GB each. Six such workshops a month are 1,440 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, after the first 20 minutes free.
Recorded by the organisation
Pexip runs where meetings are serious. The recordings are long, and someone has to read them.
Asking for the file
Pexip is usually run by the organisation itself, and how meetings are recorded depends on how IT set it up: a recording service, a connected recorder, or a meeting room system. Ask whoever manages it for a downloadable copy, usually an MP4 or an audio file, and confirm participants agreed to the recording as the law where you are requires.
Eight minutes for four hours
Speed scales with length at about 2 minutes per audio hour. A 60-minute steering meeting comes back in about 2 minutes, and a half-day 4-hour workshop in about 8. A full 9-hour day, still inside the 10-hour limit, takes about 18.
A month of workshops
Six 4-hour workshops are 1,440 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000. A team holding one 2-hour meeting a week uses about 520 minutes a month, which also lands on the $12 pack, since it exceeds the 500 in the $6 one.
Large files, kept moving
A recording of a long day can run to several gigabytes. Files up to 2 GB upload before any pack; a bigger one starts once a pack is on the account. The upload page resumes an interrupted upload rather than starting over.
Where long recordings end up
Kept for the record, and too long for anyone to read back.
✗ Archived, unread
The organisation keeps every recording and searches none of them.
- Four-hour workshops nobody replays
- Decisions disputed with no text to check
- Requests to IT for the same file twice
- Remote attendees missing half the audio
- Upload limits of 25 MB in web tools
- Notes that miss the second half of the day
✓ Recordings as documents
Each Pexip file becomes text the team can search and quote.
- About 8 minutes for 4 hours
- Six workshops on the $12 pack
- Chapters per agenda item
- Commitments and dates collected
- Participants named in the brief
- TXT for the archive, DOCX for minutes

FAQ
Pexip recordings, answered.
Can I paste a Pexip link?
Not a meeting link. A link-paste works for YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick, Google Drive and podcast feeds. If your organisation copied the recording to Google Drive, paste that share link; otherwise download the file and upload it.
Is there a Pexip integration?
No. WhipScribe has no integration with Pexip and sends no participant into your meetings. It reads the recording file after the meeting is over.
How long can the recording be?
A single Pexip file may run to 10 hours or 5 GB. A recording longer than 10 hours is uploaded in two parts. Before the first pack, files up to 2 GB go through.
How is the first recording priced?
New visitors have their first 20 minutes free. A longer recording is previewed, and a pack transcribes the rest from where the preview ended: $6 for 500 minutes, $12 for 2,000, or $24 for 5,000, all one-time.
What does the transcript include?
A brief with the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, the names, numbers and dates spoken, the questions the meeting answered, and a chat over the text. Speakers are named in the summary and chapters.
Languages and data handling?
99 languages are detected automatically; English terms inside another language are handled. Exports come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. The recording is transcribed on our own servers, and nothing from it is used for training.
