Export with a small profile
Use the movie export option and pick MP4, or an audio format if your version offers one; menu names have changed across releases, so look under export. For transcription the picture does not matter, so choose a low resolution or audio only and the upload is quicker.
Five hours against the limits
At 6 Mbps a 1080p export is about 2.7 GB an hour, so five hours would reach 13.5 GB. A 720p file at 2 Mbps is about 4.5 GB, under 5 GB but over the 2 GB allowed before a first pack. An AAC track at 128 kbps is about 288 MB and fits the 500 MB box here; bigger files go through the upload page.
A seminar series
Four 5-hour seminar days are 1,200 minutes, beyond the $6 pack and well inside the $12 pack of 2,000, which leaves 800 minutes for the next term's events.
What attendees get
A brief with the thesis and takeaways for each session, chapters with timestamps so people can jump to a talk, the figures and dates the speakers gave, and the audience questions that were answered. Presenters are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.

How long does a 5-hour MAGIX export take?
Around 10 minutes once uploaded, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. An audio-only export uploads many times faster than video.
Which export should I choose?
An MP4 at a modest resolution, or audio only if your version offers it. The transcript is identical either way, because only the speech is used.
What does a series of events cost?
Twenty minutes are free the first time; a longer day is shown as a preview, and buying a pack carries the transcript on from there. One 5-hour day uses 300 minutes of the $6 pack. Four days fit the $12 pack of 2,000. Credits never expire and nothing renews.
Is there a MAGIX integration?
No. WhipScribe has no plugin or integration with MAGIX software. Export, then upload; a video already on YouTube or Vimeo can be pasted as a link.
What if the event ran over 10 hours?
Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a longer day goes up as two exports, for example morning and afternoon. Exports above 2 GB begin once the account holds a pack.
Is the recording kept private?
The video is transcribed on our own servers, and recordings are never used for training. Exports include TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, and 99 languages are detected automatically.
